North Central Behavioral Health Systems - Streator Office
Offers an 8-hour course that teaches how to identify, understand, and respond to signs of mental illnesses and substance use disorders. The training provides the skills needed to reach out and provide initial help and support to someone who may be developing and mental health or substance use problem or experiencing a crisis.
Also offers a course designed to teach parents, family members, caregivers, teachers, school staff, peers, neighbors, health and human services workers, and other caring citizens how to help an adolescent (age 12-18) who is experiencing a mental health or addictions challenge or is in crisis. Topics include depression, anxiety, and eating disorders.
Hamilton County Offices
Maintains and provides access to official real estate documents, contracts, articles of incorporation, partnerships, state and federal tax liens, military records, birth, divorce, death, and marriage records. Offers services for issuing and renewing licenses for ATVs, boats, snowmobiles, and fishing, as well as marriage licenses and certificates. Operates as a Passport acceptance facility with photo services and processes military records for tax exemptions and benefits.
Additionally, issues public health permits to certify compliance with health laws for various facilities and institutions. Services include the establishment of standards, review of applications, issuance of permits, and enforcement of compliance through inspections and monitoring.
Uniquely Yours Stability Support
Services include assistance for homeless prevention and moving out of homelessness; basic needs assistance (rent and utilities); gas vouchers, car repairs, and other transportation assistance; and prescription assistance. Must be referred by a case manager.

Participants spend half their time in academic programming and half in learning skills in construction or urban agriculture, including building or rehabilitating housing for low-income families
Leadership development involves classes, activities, and leadership positions within the organization, providing a foundation for preparing youth to play important roles in their communities.
RAMP Disability Resources and Services - DeKalb County
Designed to reintegrate individuals back into the community from a nursing facility setting. Services include locating and securing affordable housing, financial assistance with the first month's rent and security deposit, acquiring household items and assistive equipment, home remodeling for safe independent living, independent living skills training, referrals to personal assistant services, case management, and advocacy and peer support.
Sidney Housing Authority
Provides low income housing as well as Housing Choice Vouchers (section 8), to those that are eligible.
Sioux Villa offers affordable rents for 1, 2, 3, and 4 bedroom units. Tenants pay water, sewer, trash, gas, and electric bills.
Western Heritage offers 1 bedroom units with rent based on income and all utilities included. Some units have no income restrictions. Community laundry on site.
