MCS Community Services
Provides low-income clients with rent and security deposit assistance to help a household maintain housing. To qualify for this program the client needs to be behind on their rent and the landlord has to have served them a legal eviction notice. The client will also be required to have some type of income (employment, social security, TANF, unemployment, etc.) to qualify for assistance. Babysitting (or some other type of working) for cash will NOT be accepted as income. A client can only be assisted every two years through this program.
Transitional Housing is designed to move homeless families from streets and shelters into temporary housing and to maximize self-sufficiency, this program is for families only and they must be homeless in order to receive assistance. Homeless means living on the street, in an emergency shelter, or a place not meant for human habitation (cars, parks, sidewalks, abandoned building, etc.) Occupancy is limited.
Supportive Housing is designed to move homeless families/individuals with documented disabilities from streets and shelters into temporary housing and to maximize self-sufficiency. Enrollment is limited based on availability.

Provides mobile crisis response services to those in need. Services include on-site counseling, mental health evaluations, and assessments to check the need for psychiatric hospitalization.

Provides skill training in a structured learning environment to help people with developmental disabilities succeed in the workplace, home, and social life.
Blue Valley Behavioral Health - Saline County
Non-residential level-4 outpatient substance abuse program which provides substance abuse counseling and relapse prevention program. Services are offered to individuals abusing substances or individuals who have been affected by someone else's use or abuse of alcohol or other drugs. The availability and accessibility of community-based services allows individuals to remain in their own environment while receiving services that meet their needs in the least restrictive environment.

Four Mile and Pioneer Columbus Recreation Centers will help families sign up for 2024 Toys for Tots during the holiday season. Registration begins Nov. 1, 2024, and goes through Nov 30, 2024. Gift pick-ups are Mon Dec. 16, 2024, from 12 pm- 6 pm; Tue Dec. 17, 2024, from 3 pm-8 pm and Dec. 18, 2024, from 12 pm-6 pm at the center where families register.

- For residents of Nebraska City, home delivered meals must be arranged through the city's Meals on Wheels program.

Boys and Girls Club of Danville
Provides programs for the youth that promote health, social, educational, cultural, leadership and character development. Programs include arts, character and leadership development, education and career development, health and life skills, sports, fitness, and recreation. Dinner is offered for members weekdays through the school year, with lunch and a snack offered during weekdays through the summer.

Provides a variety of job training programs and services, including individual, business services, youth services and dislocated worker programs/rapid response.
Blue Valley Behavioral Health - Gage County
Group-focused non-residential services for substance abusing clients who require a more structured or more intensive treatment approach than can be provided in an outpatient program but do not require residential services. Individuals receiving these particular services have been formally assessed and have been diagnosed with either a substance abuse or substance dependency diagnosis.

Each year, Nebraska Health Care Foundation offers more than $60,000 in scholarships to support those seeking to launch or continue an education in long-term care. Applications for Medication Aide and Nursing Assistant Scholarships open in January, April, July, and October and close at the end of March, June, September, and December.
