Marion County Senior Nutrition
Meals are contracted through mom's meals and are available to older adults ages 60 and older anywhere in Marion County, except inside the city limits of Knoxville. Mom's meals are delivered frozen to the client. Deliveries are scheduled every other week and contain 10 meals at a time, one meal per day Monday through Friday.

Court Appointed Special Advocate Program - Woodbury, Plymouth, Monona
CASA offers trained adult volunteers assisting children who are going through the court system due to child abuse or neglect.
CASA volunteers maintain contact with the children for the duration of time they are involved in the juvenile justice system. Volunteers work with all case professionals involved in the children's case, including attorneys, therapists, foster parents, school officials, and biological parents. CASA volunteers become deeply rooted into the child's life to better understand the wants and needs of the child and to establish and report the best recommendations to give to the court, so a more informed decision can be made.

VITA Tax Site - Southeast Community College
Provides free tax credit clinics and prepares free federal and state income taxes for low to moderate income households.
Starting January 15, 2026, visit https://vita.unl.edu to schedule an appointment. Tax appointments begin Feb 1 and run through Apr 10 and are available at multiple sites in Lincoln. To see the days and times for all the locations, visit the website to download the site schedule.
Must make an appointment.
When scheduling an appointment, choose a site location and date. All location will be face-to-face; virtual preparation is available in addition to facilitated self-assistance (schedule an appointment under the 'Need Assistance' tab).
If Lincoln Public School and/or UNL is closed due to bad weather, all VITA sites are closed.
The scope of work that can be done within the VITA site is defined by the IRS. If a return is considered "out of scope" for the site, VITA Volunteers will not be able to prepare the return.

Connections - Grinnell
Offers a day program where people battling different mental illnesses can socialize and gather in a safe environment.
Members make their own event and lunch calendars each month, cook lunches on a daily basis and help keep the clubhouse clean by signing up for tasks. There are weekly groups and daily activities, monthly out of town or in town outings that may include going out to eat, to a movie, seeing a sporting event or whatever else members decide to do that month.
The program provides access to two in-house support staff and a peer support specialist who offer assistance with finding housing, obtaining medical benefits, and connecting clients to additional services or resources. Support also includes help with obtaining, completing, and filing official forms, certificates, and documents required to apply for benefits or services, as well as guidance in acquiring copies of official documents or understanding legal documentation.
Ames Parks and Recreation
Provides park and recreational services to the residents of Ames. The Department manages 40 parks and offers almost 200 programs and activities throughout the year. Programs include swim lessons, fitness and wellness classes, youth and adult sports, and more. Enjoy activities at one of the facilities which include Homewood Golf Course, Ames/ISU Ice Arena, Furman Aquatic Center, Community Center, and Ames City Auditorium.
