For Thanksgiving 2025:
Offers a free meal delivered to older adults, 60 years of age or older (homebound or alone) on Thanksgiving Day. Meal consists of turkey, stuffing, potatoes, gravy, and more.
Reservations accepted Nov 3 to Nov 20, 2025.
Callers must speak with someone to make a reservation; no voice messages will be accepted. Phone lines are open on weekdays from 9 am-12 pm and 1 pm-4 pm.
Meal deliver occurs on Thanksgiving dinner. Applicant must be home to receive the meal (no meals will be left at the door).
Specific delivery times cannot be scheduled. Cannot feed families.

Pediatric clinic on wheels that delivers medical and dental care to uninsured children across the region. Services offered include:
- School and sports physicals.
- Primary care.
- Diagnosis.
- Treatment of chronic conditions, including asthma and obesity care.
- Immunizations.
- Lead and hemoglobin point of care testing.
- Dental care.
- Referral for specialty care.

Emergency Shelter Services - Provides emergency/crisis short-term shelter for women with children of any age, including male children (ages 13-17). The shelter provides a safe place to sleep, evening meal, laundry, and shower facilities. The length of stay is 30 days. Residents are encouraged to meet with the Emergency Shelter Lead Supervisor for long term stability plan
Transitional Shelter Services for Women with Children - Provides immediate relief to women, 18 and over, with children (male children must be 12 years of age or younger). In addition, provides life's basic needs - food, clothing, personal care items, laundry facilities, transportation, and telephones to make appointments. Supportive services provided include life skill classes, employment assistance, budgeting, family literacy, parenting classes, tutoring, and case management with a goal of finding and maintaining permanent housing.
Pathways Behavioral Services - Black Hawk County
Provides care coordination and family support services to families whose child struggles at school or home due to behavioral health issues. Also provides integrated health services to adults diagnosed with serious mental illness.

Provide an opportunity for individuals to connect with others in a confidential, anonymous setting for sharing of a common experience. If telephone meetings are listed as closed, then only people with a desire to stop drinking may attend. If the meeting is listed as open, anyone may attend. Health care for all ages, including obstetrical, pediatrics, geriatrics, general medical care, women's health, reproductive health, prenatal, obstetrics and gynecology, and radiology/ultrasound.
Blood testing for lead.
HIV testing and counseling.
Tuberculosis prevention and case management.
Immunizations for children and adults, including flu vaccines. COVID vaccines available in office or at home.
Screening and treatment for cardiovascular diseases, diabetes, cholesterol, and depression.
Routine services such as pap smears, school physicals, prenatal visits, well baby exams, physicals and other routine healthcare procedures. Follow-up visits for patients with diabetes, elevated blood lead levels, hypertension, behavioral health concerns, and other on-going health problems are also routine activities at the clinic.
Health education is integrated into each patient's visit. Nutrition, disease prevention and management are taught to patients individually and in groups. Educational follow-up, care coordination, management and peer education, including care for sexually transmitted diseases, latent tuberculosis, high lead levels, prenatal care, and care for chronic diseases (asthma, diabetes, hypertension, high cholesterol, and depression).
Specialist referrals for services not available at the clinic are made for all patients. Appointments for patients without insurance and/or limited income are made through Hope Medical Outreach Coalition volunteer physicians and facilities.

Helps children establish speech and language skills through the evaluation and treatment of expressive and receptive language, problem solving and reasoning, social skills, sign language, and augmentative communication. Therapists also work with children on pre-speech and feeding skills, swallowing, and oral-motor development.

Offers alternative arrangements for those ordered to complete community service in Kossuth County. Those with fees, and/or fines, can volunteer with community agencies to both complete their mandatory community service, and to also help pay down those fees/fines. Individuals participating in the program will not see any money as the money they earn through the program goes directly back to their fees/fines.
