Provides comprehensive insurance counseling for Medicare or Medicaid eligible beneficiaries and their caregivers who may be new to or have questions about Medicare and Medicaid. Can also provide information and guidance to those who need assistance with claims and appeals, choosing appropriate health insurance coverage, subsidies or Medicaid to help afford Medicare premiums and copay costs.

Provides full library access and services. CDs, movies, and video games may also be available in addition to traditional print reference materials. Some materials may be accessed online using a library card.

Offers a baby closet for children ages 0-2. Services include diapers, wipes, formula, and linens. To receive free items individuals must enroll in the closet program. Emergency help may also available.

Maintains plans and trains community partners regarding the 24/7 response to a public health emergency. Public health emergencies can consist of a bio-terrorist attack, pandemic influenza or any emerging infectious disease that threatens McLean County. Staff are available to provide presentations to community groups or businesses. The emergency preparedness program coordinates the McLean County Health Department Medical Reserve Corps which is a volunteer organization consisting of McLean County residents, 18 or older, who are trained to support public health emergencies.

Also, offers MRC a collaborative venture of the Health Department and the McLean County Emergency Management Agency to recruit, train, and mobilize volunteers to assist the existing public health infrastructure during a public health emergency or disaster to strengthen and support emergency response efforts in McLean County.

Mental health services including outpatient psychiatric care, individual and family evaluation, medical management, psychotherapy, and group therapy.

Outpatient chemical dependency services.

Childhood and adult vaccines and flu shots available.

Outpatient assessments, referrals, intensive outpatient treatment, and peer support related to substance use. Through these interventions, the client with a substance abuse issue learns their issues are not unique and can be addressed. Family and loved ones are also taught coping skills to assist them in supporting the user build a healthier lifestyle.

Level I Outpatient Therapy provides professionally directed evaluation, treatment and recovery services for individuals experiencing a substance use disorder. Treatment services are provided in group or individual sessions or a combination of both, depending on an individual’s needs. Treatment typically lasts 12 weeks.

The Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) is a group-focused, non-residential program for adults 19 and older. IOP is more in-depth than traditional outpatient treatment services, offering a minimum of 10 hours of treatment per week. IOP typically lasts six to eight weeks. Intensive groups meet for three-hour sessions, three days a week. Each participant must also attend at least one additional individual or family session each week. Services are available days and evenings.

Substance Use Evaluations are specialized assessments used to clinically determine possible substance use issues, with recommendations for an appropriate level of care if determined to be medically necessary.

Serves as a crisis team with an Engagement Specialist and Crisis Counselor providing mobile crisis response intervention including on-site counseling, mental health evaluation, and asessment for psychiatric hospitalization.

Operates a small food pantry which may be accessed once every seven days. The food pantry is only intended as a supplement to other food assistance programs and pantries within the communities served.
