Offers international programs of physical fitness, sports training, and athletic competition for individuals with intellectual disabilities. Services include sports basketball, bowling, power lifting, soccer, softball, volleyball, aquatics, motor activities, golf, and flag football. Athletes develop better coordination, get needed exercise, improve concentration and discipline, meet other athletes, and gain a feeling of satisfaction and success. 

Provides in-person and virtual tax assistance to anyone free of charge with a special focus on taxpayers who are over 50 or have low-to-moderate income for the 2026 tax season. Free, year-round tax assistance is also available on the Internet. Taxpayers can post tax questions to online tax assistors by visiting the website.

Offers to educate businesses, the public, and legislature about issues important to people with disabilities. Staff aim to empower people with disabilities to assess their needs, identify potential risks, establish their own goals, evaluate available resources, and develop and implement a strategy to take control of their lives.

Offers sexual health and wellness services including free pregnancy tests, STD/STI testing, HIV testing and treatment (PrEP/PEP), Case Management, anal Pap Smears, free condoms, outreach and prevention education, and more.

Offers Medical Case Management for people living with HIV/AIDS. Provides connection to low-cost HIV medical care and medication services. Once enrolled, transportation assistance may be available for medical appointments, lab visits, and pharmacy trips. Food vouchers and access to local food pantries may also be available. Referrals to lawyers, legal organizations, and other supportive services can be provided.

Offers a free in home counseling program for children on Medicaid, ages 4-19, who need help improving behavioral skills. Provides in-home BHIS services out of all office locations. 

Provides federally-funded subsidized rental units for low-income families, the elderly, and persons with disabilities. The Iowa City Housing Authority serves as the landlord and rents these units to eligible tenants.
