This is a grant program (up to $5,000) for single-family homeowners within the Omaha city limits. No repayment is necessary.

Offers before and after school programs. Offering age appropriate activities.
Also offers extended day programs during selected holidays, scheduled school closings and possibly some emergency closure days. Children do not need to be enrolled in the program year-round to participate in no school days; however, specific DCFS paperwork, including emergency contact information will be required.
Tama County Public Health and Home Care
Provides skilled nursing care to assist with medication set up, wound care, and IV's. Home Health Aides to assist with bathing and specific needs. Home therapies can also be provided.

Trivium Life Services - Cherokee, IA
Offers two levels of Supported Community Living Services designed to meet the daily living needs of adults with disabilities and mental illness. These services increase a client's independence and provide a level of relief for family members and caretakers. The level of service is determined by the individual, guardians, case managers, and providers to best suit their needs.
Services may include employment assistance, day habilitation programs, and more.
IowaWORKS Center - Sioux City
Works to help individuals, including those facing significant employment barriers, secure and retain high-quality jobs. The program assists people in finding employment, funds training when needed to gain or retain a position, and provides assistance in obtaining work permits or official documentation required for work authorization.
The Adult Program serves people who are at least 18 years old and, if applicable, registered for Selective Service. The Dislocated Worker Program serves individuals registered for Selective Service who have lost their jobs and meet dislocated worker categories defined in the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA).
The Youth Program serves in-school youth (ages 14-21) and out-of-school youth (ages 16-24) who need assistance with training or education to enter the workforce successfully, with a focus on young people facing barriers to success. This includes government-subsidized summer employment programs that provide job opportunities in the public and private sectors during the summer months. Registration for these summer opportunities occurs during a spring application period.
One Hope United - Hope Center Champaign
Provides in-home case management as well as 24-hour response to emergencies. Services include a case manager who will monitor individuals weekly to ensure they are linked with the necessary resources and referrals for both inpatient and outpatient drug treatment programs. Services may also include weekly in-home and out-of-home counseling for adults, children, couples, and families. Families may also be referred to a number of community-based services, including medical services, counseling, drug or alcohol treatment support groups, food pantries, housing, employment training, and continuing education programs.

Provides a food pantry to families with students in the Sycamore School District. Includes perishable, fresh, and frozen goods.

New Opportunities - Dallas County
LIHEAP (Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program) assists low-income homeowners and renters pay for a portion of their primary heating costs for the winter heating season. Assistance is based on household income, size, type of fuel and type of housing. The application period is from October 1-April 30 for elderly and disabled households and November 1-April 30th for the rest of the households. Persons applying must meet 200% poverty guidelines.
LIHEAP also offers a crisis program that may be able to assist homeowners who are with no heat or limited heat during the off months of the LIHEAP program (May-September). The furnace component for crisis runs October 1-April 30th.
