Goodwill Industries of Northern Illinois - Ottawa
Provides GED classes for students with reading levels at 4th grade and above. Each student will also be offered case management to help them succeed and overcome any barriers that may stop them from furthering their education. This program also provides free scholarships for students who are ready to take a GED test or a practice GED test and cannot afford the fees.

Iowa Department of Health and Human Services - Clarke County
Offers FIP (Family Investment Program) a cash assistance program for children and their families who have low income, also available to relatives caring for children whose parents are not in the home. The goal of FIP is to help families leave poverty and become self supporting, can participate for up to 60 months. FIP is Iowa's Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) program.

DeWitt County Friendship Center
Offers an older Adult and Senior Activity Center that provides seniors a place to gather and socialize. Staff will help refer those in need to other agencies for help as needed. The Center also acts as a warming/cooling center for the general population of DeWitt County during times of emergency or disaster.
The Friendship Center is also a Peace Meal congregate and home-delivery site. Peace Meals are available weekly, Monday through Friday.

Mosaic Family Counseling Center - Urbandale
Offers trauma recovery therapy/EMDR, individual, family, couple, and child; EMDR/healing trauma, play therapy, interactive problem solving, behavioral health intervention, pre-marriage and marriage counseling, tele-mental-health therapy. Assessment services: Mental health evaluation for bariatric surgery. STEPPS: A Dialectical Behavioral Therapy group to help manage high emotions or Emotionally Intense episodes. A therapeutic group that includes a skill building process that builds upon each other.
Stairways: An advanced group for those who have completed the STEPPs group. The group teaches a variety of emotional and behavioral management skills that build off of foundations learned in STEPPs.

Provides education and training in approved training programs in local community colleges. Can help with the cost of tuition, books, fees, required tools, and any additional items required by the program. Program also provides a work experience and on-the-job training component.
Work Experience offers subsidizes wages at a local employer for 1 to 6 months to help customer gain experience to gain permanent employment.
On-The-Job Training offers subsidizes half of hourly wage for a set period of time at a local employer with the intention of the employer retaining the customer after training is complete.

Offers SERVSAFE® classes for food service professionals, providing comprehensive training on food hazards, proper food handling practices, and regulatory requirements to ensure food safety and prevent foodborne-illness outbreaks.
Participants will gain knowledge to improve food quality and learn techniques that support the protection and utilization of food products. The program includes a 6-hour course and certification exam, offering the opportunity to become a certified Food Protection Manager through the National Restaurant Association Educational Foundation. Open to individuals in the restaurant and food service industry, the training also serves as a resource for those involved in commercial food production activities such as farms, aquaculture facilities, and other food-related ventures.
