Provides long-term care to help veterans and their families when dealing with a disability, chronic (long-lasting) illness, or serious health issues related to aging. Long-term health care services include 24 hour nursing and medical care, physical therapy, and help with daily tasks like bathing, dressing, making meals, and taking medicine.

Administers federal, state, local, and private funding sources to revitalize neighborhoods, encourage economic and community development, provide improved community facilities, and support organizations serving vulnerable community members.

Maintains county parks and recreation areas and provides hunter safety classes, camping, fishing and boating information. Outdoor recreational opportunities are available through county parks and outdoor wildlife areas.

Provides financial assistance to township residents in need.

Provides home improvement grants and/or low interest loans to repair deteriorated dwellings. Programs include:

- Minor Home Repair Program: provides grants and forgivable deferred payment loans to correct housing deficiencies of an immediate nature which threaten the health or safety of the occupant of the home or the structural integrity of the building.

• Home Accessibility Retrofit Program: provides grants or loans to eliminate barriers, modify the layout, or add structural accessories/improvements to the dwelling to make it more accessible for occupants with disabilities. May also be used to make "visibility" modification to dwelling units to allow immediate family members with disabilities to visit the subject property.

• Accessory Structure Demolition Program: provides grants or forgivable deferred loans for homeowners to demolish unsafe structures on their property.

• Residential Exterior Rehabilitation Program: provides a 50/50 matching grant or 0% interest loan to repair and bring up to code the living structure.

Provides supportive services, guidance, and situational intervention to allow developmentally disabled individuals to maintain or enhance their ability to live in the Rockford community and surrounding area.  Services include self-care, social skills, educational and vocational skills with physical and developmental disabilities.

Work with each individual to develop and initiate a support plan to meet their needs and personal goals.

Assists individuals in securing services and opportunities not provided by Milestone.

Provides animal control services to the Henry County communities. Services include investigating all complaints of neglected and/or abused animals, animal bites, and persistent animal problems, responsible for containing loose and/or stray dogs and cats in the unincorporated areas of Henry County and those Towns and Villages with whom contracted. Can only handle dogs and cats - NO WILDLIFE.

DNR states that unless the wild animals are bleeding, do not transport them to rehabilitators.

Provides residential and vocational support services to persons with mental and physical disabilities. Includes HCBS waiver programs, supported community living, transportation, job coaching and placement, CDAC, medication management, independent living skills, and payee services for clients.

Assists with utilities payment through MUD, OPPD, NPPD, when funds are available.
