A voluntary home visiting program that helps new and expectant parents strengthen their family's functioning and reduce their risk for child abuse and/or neglect. The program provides guidance about child development, child safety, and good parenting skills while providing support to the family.
Doula services are also available. This includes prenatal information and support, labor coaching, breastfeeding, postpartum depression support, and assistance in the early weeks after childbirth
Prenatal support groups are also available.

The division is responsible for the construction and maintenance of the County Secondary Road System, including ditch cleaning, roadway surface repairs, bridge and culvert repairs, and snow removal.

Provides decent, affordable housing for low- and moderate-income residents. Manages 32 single-bedroom units and 3 two-bedroom units. Rent is based on household income and eligible expenditure allowances.
Rent assistance is provided from HUD. Rent assistance remains with the unit and the Public Housing Authority; it is not transferable.

DHS Family Community Resource Center - Crawford / Jasper County
Helps low-income people and families buy food.
Offers the Restaurant Meals Program, which allows eligible SNAP customers to buy meals at authorized restaurants. (Available to SNAP customers who are homeless, elderly, and/or disabled.)
The LINK card is accepted at many farmers' markets.
Expedited/Emergency SNAP Benefits may be available (in 5 days or less from the date of application) to eligible clients if:
- Monthly income, cash, and bank accounts are less than client's rent or mortgage plus utility costs, OR
- Monthly income is less than $150 and client's cash and bank accounts are not more than $100, OR
- At least one person in the household is a migrant farm worker and client's cash and bank accounts are not more than $100.
Faith United Methodist Church
Provides pre-packed bags and sometimes fresh produce, bread and frozen meat along with dish soap and laundry detergent. Individuals may visit once per month. However, anyone who comes more often will not be refused help.
