Provides case management services to individuals managing issues related to epilepsy. Assists clients in gaining knowledge and skills necessary to handle common challenges such as medication compliance, access to public benefits, difficulties with the school system, and employee discrimination.

Develops resources for individuals who are newly diagnosed with diabetes. Offers a diabetes resource guide free of charge which can be downloaded online.

Provides dementia care for patients and their caregivers.

Provides human service resource information to link veterans with service providers in the community.
American Lung Association - Springfield
Provides a helpline to answer lung health questions. Registered nurses, respiratory therapists, and certified tobacco treatment specialists make up the helpline staff.

- Quitting all forms of tobacco.
- Oxygen therapy resources.
- Managing chronic lung conditions (such as asthma, COPD, lung caner, and pulmonary fibrosis).
- Questions about medication, respiratory therapy, and pulmonary testing.
- Financial aid, medical equipment, and health insurance questions.
- Finding a doctor, medical specialist, or healthcare center.
- Connecting with support groups.
- Connecting with local resources to ensure continuity of care.

Provides case management and referral information to households to help them build and maintain stability within the family and household. Services may include some financial assistance to help reach stability.

Catholic Charities - Fort Dodge
Mental Health and Substance Use Disorder Outpatient services for individuals, couples and families. Focus areas include relationships, grief/loss, anxiety, depression, physical/sexual/emotional abuse, trauma and addiction. Licensed therapists work with children and adults of all ages and backgrounds, serving people of all faiths.
Evidence-based approaches include psychotherapy, trauma therapy, CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), PCIT (Parent Child Interactional Therapy), DBT (Dialectical Behavioral Therapy) and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing).

Central Nebraska Community Action Partnership - Broken Bow
The program aims to address the needs of eligible Veterans and their families to reduce suicide risk and improve mental health status and well-being by providing wrap-around, nonclinical suicide prevention support services to eligible households.

VITA Tax Site - Good Neighbor Center
Provides free tax credit clinics and prepares free federal and state income taxes for low to moderate income households.
Starting January 15, 2026, visit https://vita.unl.edu to schedule an appointment. Tax appointments begin Feb 1 and run through Apr 10 and are available at multiple sites in Lincoln. To see the days and times for all the locations, visit the website to download the site schedule.
Must make an appointment.
When scheduling an appointment, choose a site location and date. All location will be face-to-face; virtual preparation is available in addition to facilitated self-assistance (schedule an appointment under the 'Need Assistance' tab).
If Lincoln Public School and/or UNL is closed due to bad weather, all VITA sites are closed.
The scope of work that can be done within the VITA site is defined by the IRS. If a return is considered "out of scope" for the site, VITA Volunteers will not be able to prepare the return.
