Coordinates the multi-disciplinary response to child sexual and/or serious physical abuse in a child friendly location. Services include:

• Linkage to mental health resources
• Coordination with the Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT) regarding the investigation and services provided
• Accompaniment to court hearings/trials, specialized medical appointments, or attendance in victim's place
• Linkage to any community resources available
• Court preparation for victim
• Child friendly facility and trained professional to conduct forensic interviews
• Help with Crime Victims Compensation forms
• Registration with Automated Victim Notification System

Offers police and dispatch services responsible for emergency assessment and response.

Financially assists individuals so that they can remain in the most appropriate living arrangement for their individualized needs. Eligible clients can reside in their own home, an apartment, an assisted living facility, a licensed mental health facility, a center for the developmentally disabled, a room and board situation, or in a nursing home.

The AABD program can also, in certain circumstances, provide essential items to qualified recipients such as guardian/conservator fees, home repairs, furniture, appliances, etc.

Provides assessment and individual and group counseling to those who have been the perpetrators of abuse. The 3 main service components are:

Partner Abuse Intervention counseling for those who have been abusive in current or past intimate partner relationships.

Abuse Intervention counseling for those who have been abusive to other adults who are NOT their intimate partners.

Caring Dads/Nurturing Moms, counseling for parents (biological, step, or common law) who have exposed their children to domestic violence, either as witnesses to the abuse of the other parent, and/or as victims themselves.

Provides mental health and substance abuse counseling services to veterans. Services include treatment for addictions, depression, anxiety, trauma, PTSD, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia and OCD.

Emergency shelter serves all demographics except single men by providing a safe place to stay for the night. This is a short-term solution for those in need of immediate housing. The shelter is located on the west side of the building.

Provides a food pantry with limited dry and canned goods.

Provides a monthly stipend for residents who are waiting for Social Security applications or appeals.

Offers to address and focus on prevention, intervention, detection and reporting elder abuse, neglect, and exploitation by presenting the senior consumer with options to enhance and protect their life and independence.

Tax preparation offered free to low and moderate income individuals throughout the Benton, Cedar, Iowa, Jones and Linn County areas.

Offers children to participate in various activities and staged play to explore with a balance of language, sensory, fine and gross motor, art, math, music, cognitive and social-emotional concepts.
