Provides long-term and continuing care for pets of senior citizens who require a hospital stay, physical therapy, and/or assisted living. Also provided is long-term boarding for pets of active and deployed military personnel.

The long-term boarding allows the owners of boarded dogs to maintain ownership of their pets, giving them peace of mind that their pets will be well-cared for in a comfortable facility. The program is monthly donation-based, depending upon income and ability to pay. Can be named in a pet trust as the designated caregiver for a pet and can fulfill any wishes of the owner in terms of long-term care or any adoption option.

Functions:

- Elections.

- Recorder of deeds.

- Vital records (birth, death, marriage, civil union, etc.).

- Tax services.

- Clerk to the Moultrie County Board.

- Accounts Payable and Payroll.

- Provides youth development programs and leadership skills opportunities to children in the area.

- Offers mentoring and assistance for youth who face challenges such as poverty, difficulties in school, and more.

- Provides free school supplies in the fall to children registered at the Boys and Girls Club.

Serves as a warming center during cold weather and/or Winter Weather Advisories and Warnings.  Also serves as cooling center.   Open to the public, with the exception of personal bans/barriers from the facility. Warm coffee, snacks, and restrooms are available. Service animals welcome.

Offers scholarships, amounts are dependent of funding levels, to income eligible individuals who are planning to attend accredited Illinois University, community college, technical or vocational schools. Preference is given to applicants of racial or ethnic minorities.

Transitional housing for men.

Provides weatherization services to low income households. Helps conserve fuel and reduce energy costs by making homes and apartments more energy efficient. Also provides many health and safety upgrades.

Services vary, but may include insulation, furnace work, and air sealing.

Official record keeper of the Court. All Civil, Probate, Traffic, Criminal, and Juvenile cases are filed through the Clerk's office. Also collects and disperses all monies ordered to be paid by the court.

Services include case management, home care aid (non-medical in-home care to assist with activities of daily living, such as bathing, grooming, dressing, housework, meal preparation, and transportation for essential errands), emergency home response system, automated medication dispenser, and money management. Care Coordinators can also assist older adults and their caregivers in finding options when leaving the hospital or long-term care center.

Veteran service office.

Limited financial assistance provided to prevent rent eviction or utility disconnection. May also assist with rent or utility deposit, where appropriate. Utility assistance can also include cell phone bill help. 

First apply for assistance at the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services (through ACCESSNebraska at www.accessnebraska.ne.gov) for an eligibility determination and referrals to community agencies with Letter of Eligibility, then schedule an appointment with the Community Service Coordinator.

Offers rural public transportation, to persons of all ages. Passengers may ride scheduled routes by reservation, for any trip purpose or may request special service for medical appointments. Pick up is at central community locations and at passengers' homes. Vehicles are lift-equipped to accommodate wheelchairs.

Crime reporting agency offering a telephone number, web tips, and text messaging to encourage citizens in the community to volunteer vital information helpful to law enforcement agencies fight crime.  Callers remain anonymous and are eligible to receive a cash reward if the information given leads to an arrest or grand jury indictment of a felony offender.
