MercyOne Genesis Hospice Care
Hospice program provides support and care for persons with an advanced illness and with limited time to live. The goal is to provide comfort and minimize pain and stress for the terminally ill and their loved ones. Hospice care is designed to help the individual remain in the home, stay as active as possible, express and accept their feelings, ease pain, control symptoms, help the family care for their loved one at home, and manage practical tasks (i.e., running errands, preparing meals, getting medications, supplies, and equipment).
Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House provides a comfortable environment for those who have an end-stage terminal illness with a limited prognosis and who are not seeking active treatment for cure; provides pain and symptom management, respite care, and routine care for patients and their family or significant other.

Provides in-person and virtual tax assistance to anyone free of charge with a special focus on taxpayers who are over 50 or have low-to-moderate income for the 2026 tax season. Lincoln Children's Zoo
Children's zoo provides Lincoln-area children with the opportunity to learn firsthand about animals. Educational classes are age appropriate and are built around the skills and interest of children. Classes encourage the love of nature and are offered all summer long. Reduced prices for members but anyone can attend. Youth volunteer opportunities for grades 7-12; applications are available January-March.
Senior Services of Marion County
Free insurance counseling service for Medicare beneficiaries and their caregivers. SHIP counselors can:
- Answer questions about Medicare Supplement insurance, long term care insurance, Medicare managed care plans and other health insurance.
- Organize and assist in filing Medicare Supplement claims.
- Analyze Medicare Supplement and long term care insurance policies.
- Appeal claim denials.
Warming Shelter - Overnight Shelter
Emergency 24 hour temporary shelter, operating during winter months (November 1st through April 30th) annually. Food is provided.
Offers a temporary emergency shelter for people who do not have a warm place to stay out of the cold and winter weather.
CASA of McHenry County
A CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate) is a trained volunteer who is appointed by a judge to speak for abused and neglected children via the court. CASAs are committed and dedicated to the intervention and prevention of child abuse.
Provides training and supervision to volunteers who support and advocate on behalf of foster children.

HACAP - Old Main Center
Offers to assist home owners or renters who have a disconnect notice or have missed a payment on a pay arrangement. Can also assist homeowners who have a back bill. If funds are available, households may receive emergency assistance with furnace repair/replacement (if a homeowner) and/or emergency delivery of deliverable fuel. Clients need to have been LIHEAP approved during our program year (October 1 through April 30) or they can complete a crisis application.

Offers to work with registered child care providers to improve the nutritional level of the children they serve via nutrition classes and home visits. The program reimburses registered providers for providing USDA approved meals and snacks, thus ensuring the nutrition children need to grow.

Intensive, research-based child development and family support services for families with children from birth to age three, with an aim of building a strong early learning foundation and preparing children for later school success.
SAL Community Services’ Prevention Initiative program offers early, continuous child development and family support services in Rock Island County.
The comprehensive year-round program is for families with children currently enrolled in SAL’s early childhood programs, including Skip-a-Long Childhood Centers and select licensed homes within our Home Child Care Network. It is also available to new families in the community who are interested in establishing a strong early learning foundation for their children.
