Works to help Veterans on their recovery journey through outpatient and inpatient services. The residential facility helps Veterans deal with substance abuse, homelessness, mental health, and unemployment through its 24-hour therapeutic and educational programs.

Returning Citizens United program offers pre- and post-release services to incarcerated and formerly incarcerated individuals through a faith-based adult mentoring program. Wraparound services are not limited to the program participant, but integrates the individual's family and community. General Assistance provides temporary assistance for basic or special needs to low income persons who reside in Boone County. May help with the following financial needs when funding is available: Rental Assistance may be available to those in need. Will not help with deposits.

Utility Assistance: November 1-April 30, anyone seeking help for utilities must go through the LIHEAP program first. Those applying for Utility Assistance from G.A. must have an acceptance or denial letter from LIHEAP. Cremation Expense Assistance may be available to those who meet the income guidelines. Medical Expense Assistance may be available for medical/prescription supplies and assistance with transportation to out of town appointments. Serves as the Satellite Office for DHS Forms & Fax for Boone residents. DHS has been relocated to Story County at 126 South Kellogg, Suite 101, Ames, Iowa.

OSF Home Medical Equipment helps convalescent individuals of any age remain at home by offering the following (and more):

- Respiratory supplies and services.

- Mobility equipment (canes, crutches, walkers, wheelchairs).

- Bathroom safety equipment and commodes.

- Hospital beds.

In-home delivery, pick-up, education, emergency on-call and repair services are also offered.

Provides home delivered meals to people age 60 and older (and their spouses) who are homebound. A home visit is made to explain the service and to explain other services available. Therapeutic diets, such as diabetic or mechanical soft, can be provided and the hot noon meals are delivered on the weekdays.

Program designed to lessen the traumatic effects of divorce on children. The curriculum teaches how to establish a co-parenting relationship, as well as offers guidelines for helping children adjust. Divorcing parents of children who are minors in Macon County are required to attend, in addition to parents establishing paternal rights.

Offers home health aide services. Allowing clients to continue living at home, including assisted living facilities while receiving medical care. Services include personal care such as showering and bathing, nail care, shaving, oral and denture care, toileting, catheter, and ostomy assistance, exercise “buddy” for range of motion, endurance and wellness, encouraging mobility, including walking with an assistive device, nutrition assistance, including meal preparation and feeding, medication reminders and light housekeeping and chores.

Offers rent assistance, up to $800, for those in need. There are requirements to be approved. See website for complete details. Once approved, applicant must attend a Financial Literacy workshop before payment is made to the landlord.

Provides home delivery of library materials to residents who are temporarily or permanently confined because of illness, disability, or other extenuating circumstance.

Provides dental/oral services to veterans that qualify. Services include screenings, cleanings, X-rays, fillings, specialty dental procedures like root canals, restorations and dentures.

All locations offer a wellness floor with cardio and weight equipment and wellness staff to assist. Most locations offer a range of group-exercise classes (high intensity, challenging, low impact, chair-assisted, fall prevention), active older adult and youth programs, open swim and lap times, swim lessons (including adaptive and adult), open gymnasium hours, pickleball, child watch, youth sports, and summer day camp.

- The Buena Vista YMCA Express is a co-op project in conjunction with Omaha Public Schools, located on the Buena Vista High School campus. It includes a unique wellness floor featuring eGYM and MX4 equipment. This location is a wellness-only 14+ facility.

- The Westview YMCA offers youth sports and sports camps, a splash pad, and it is attached to Omaha Public School’s Westview High School. Visit other locations to learn more about summer day camp opportunities.

- The YMCA Healthy Living Center is an adult-only location designed for individuals 30+, with a therapeutic warm-water pool and a wider variety of low impact classes and equipment as well as social clubs and activities geared toward active older adults.

- The Charles E. Lakin YMCA offers eSports.

- The Butler-Gast YMCA and Downtown YMCA locations accept registrations for youth sports and host practices and games in collaboration with the Maple Street YMCA.

- The Gretna Crossing YMCA has eGYM equipment and a splash pad. It is part of the Gretna Crossing Park that offers trails, disc golf course, and a water park.

- The Blair Family YMCA offers a fitness center, pool, and many activities for youth and adults regardless of ability to pay.

Loans up to $150 to help pay utility bills. May use service if needed once every 6 months.

Provides assistance for Nebraskans in accessing services and support to help meet their long-term care needs. Services include living arrangements related to long-term care, in-home services such as housekeeping, personal care, respite, equipment, care coordination, paying for long-term care services, health promotion and prevention, mental health services, financial guidance and resources, as well as other basic needs including food, shelter, Medicaid and Medicare.

Provides weatherization services to low income households. Helps conserve fuel and reduce energy costs by making homes and apartments more energy efficient. Also provides many health and safety upgrades.

Services vary, but may include insulation, furnace work, and air sealing.

Provides assistance in finding resources for clients for a variety of needs.
