Anchored Hope
Provides support, opportunities, and transitional housing for young women transitioning out of foster care. Young women work with staff to create personalized plans to help navigate key areas of life with the goal of completing the independent living program within approximately 24 months. Staff offer guidance and connect youth with essential resources, enabling them to take the next steps toward independence. This transitional living program must be completed while the client is going to school or work, and is not an emergency shelter.

Provides a food assistance program for women, infants, and children. Program helps pregnant women, new mothers, and young children eat well and stay healthy.

Village of Roscoe Public Works Department
Maintains roads and rights-of-way, parks, buildings housing the Village Hall, Roscoe Police Department, and the Maintenance Facility as well as Public Works vehicles and equipment. Services include damaged or down street signs, potholes, dead animal removal, sidewalk, curb/gutter, and drainage issues, plugged culverts, storm water management, trees fallen in the right-of-way, broken or vandalized playground equipment, snow plowing.
Animal Rescue League of Iowa
Provides pet food for pet owners who are struggling to feed their pets due to financial difficulty. Individuals may use the pantry twice a month. Patrons may pick up food for up to 2 households (including their own). The pantry operates weekly at various locations across es Moines on a first-come, first-served basis.
Dogs - food may be picked up for a maximum of 3 dogs (max of 6 bags). Bags are determined by weight of dog. Under 30 pounds, one gallon bag per dog or over 30 pounds, 2 gallon bags per dog.
Cats - Individuals with indoor cats may pick up food for a maximum of 3 cats (max 3 bags of food). One gallon of cat food per cat, one container of litter per household.

Heartland of Story County
A box of shelf-stable food items are provided on a monthly basis to Story County residents 60 years of age and older who meet eligibility guidelines. The types of food received includes Shelf stable milk, non-fat dry milk, rice or pasta, ready-to-eat cereal, farina, or oatmeal, peanut butter or dry beans, canned meat or fish, bottled juices, canned fruits, canned vegetables, and cheese.

The availability and accessibility of community-based services allows individuals to remain in their own environment while receiving services that meet their needs in the least restrictive environment.
