Offers outpatient treatment services for substance use. Services are self-paced, and length of time is based on individual need. Group meetings are available. Individual and family counseling sessions are provided as needed.

SASS provides the following services for children and youth:

- Crisis intervention.

- Short-term stabilization where a child is at risk of self-harm, or harming others.

For Monona County, deadline is December 5, 2025, and must be a client receiving services from LIHEAP. Call to make appointment for LIHEAP and then receive application for Holiday Adoption.

This program is especially designed to help families who are facing financial hardships and are unable to afford a Christmas dinner or new toys and warm clothing for their children. The Holiday Adoption Program hopes to address the needs of low-income children and families during the holidays and winter season.]

Health centers are located inside four Omaha Public Schools (OPS) schools. Services are available to all OPS students, regardless of the school they attend, and students’ siblings under the age of 19 can also receive care at the clinics. Children enrolled in early childhood programs at Head Start, Educare, and Early Child Services’ Network of Excellence can also receive care at SBHCs.

School-Based Health Centers are not intended to replace a child’s regular health care provider, but the clinic’s staff members are available to provide supplemental care. SBHC staff members can diagnose and treat many common conditions (i.e. sore throats, ear infections, headaches, burns, scrapes, sprains and minor wounds), and they can perform school and sports physicals and give immunizations. School-Based Health Centers do not provide emergency services.

If students and their families do not already have primary health care providers, staff members will help them establish OneWorld as their health care home.

Provides an alternative school giving students another change to succeed. Offering tools, support and different teaching methods to help students learn in the way that works best for them. 

Offers law enforcement services to the Davis County area. Issues gun/firearm permits, runs requested background checks, and manages the county Jail.

Offers a variety of camping experiences for girls ages 5-17, including established camps and day camps. 

CAMP SACAJAWEA is located on 405 acres of wooded ravines and plateaus bordering the Des Moines River, providing opportunities for exploration and outdoor activities. 

CAMP TANGLEFOOT, situated partially along the shore of Clear Lake, spans 50 acres and features a meadow for play, forest trails for hiking, and chances to observe wildlife in the prairie and marsh. 

CAMP JOY HOLLOW, located on 360 acres in the Loess Hills north of Sioux City, is ideal for year-round indoor and outdoor troop activities. 

CAMP JULIETTE, set on 27 wooded acres within Marshalltown city limits, offers a natural environment with spring wildflowers and frequent sightings of deer. Additionally, approximately 15 day camps are held throughout the Council during the summer. 

Camperships are available to provide scholarships or tuition assistance for children and youth who may otherwise be unable to attend camp, ensuring accessibility for all participants.

School-based domestic violence prevention program that provides education to help students understand healthy family and dating relationships and how to practice nonviolent behaviors.

Offers medical services for non-life threatening injuries and illnesses.

Services provided for:

- Cold and flu symptoms.

- Cuts, bruises, burns and stitches.

- Ear infections.

- Sore throats.

- Pulled or strained muscles.

- Urinary tract infections.

- Nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea.

Provides residential substance use treatment services.

Business owners, private nonprofit organizations, homeowners and renters in the designated disaster counties may be eligible for low-interest disaster loans from the U.S. Small Business Administration to help recover from losses not covered by insurance, grants, or other sources.

For qualified homeowners and renters, disaster grants help pay for basic repairs to make a home habitable, temporary rental assistance, and serious disaster-related needs not covered by insurance or other sources.

Offers a housing assistance program that provides education about housing stability, permanent housing opportunities, assistance with applying for and securing permanent housing, ongoing case management for residential and non-residential clients.

Provides in person behavioral health crisis services to youth and adults. Services include a mental health assessment, crisis intervention services, such as focused support, de-escalation, stabilization, development of a safety plan, and linkage to additional outpatient services. If psychiatric hospitalization is needed staff will assist with this process as well.

Provides refugee resettlement and immigration and citizenship services including refugee employment services, English as a Second Language (ESL) classes, housing, mediation, and counseling, assistance with green cards, citizenship, counseling, legal services.

On-site therapy, counseling, group-based programming, and individual/family case management to improve lives of immigrants who have experienced severe loss and trauma.

Also currently serving refugees from Ukraine.

Provides health care services to those in need. Services include sick care, chronic disease management, preventive care services, cervical cancer screenings (Pap smears), physical  exams, vaccinations, sexual health services, STI testing and treatment, wellness checkups, work physicals, laboratory and diagnostic testing, referrals for mammograms and other specialty care.

Provides engineering and design of County roadway projects, including local resurfacing and bridge replacement. The division is responsible for the construction and maintenance of the County Secondary Road System, including ditch cleaning, roadway surface repairs, bridge and culvert repairs, and snow removal.

Provides law enforcement services to the city. 

Provides dentistry designed specifically for patients with developmental disabilities.
