Provides ramps and other modifications to increase accessibility for disabled homeowners and renters. For minor home repairs services include repairing condemned furnaces, faulty wiring, or actively leaking roofs. Major home repairs provide funds in the form of forgivable deferred loans to correct health and safety code violations, including lead-based paint hazards for single-family dwelling units located in low-income census tracts. Get the Lead Out program and Health Home Production awards housing funds to qualified applicants to help cover the cost of lead hazard remediation. This program is available to owner-occupied homes and privately-owned rental properties. 

Offers a senior center for older adults ages 55 and older. Programs and services include arts and crafts, cards and games, computer, internet and printing services, day trips and tours, educational classes, health clinic services, fitness classes, a monthly AARP driver safety courses, or financial assistance may be available for those who qualify.

Offers free group-education parenting skills classes,  subjects such as Wellness, managing or prevent diabetes, heart disease, or obesity.

Positive Parenting, focusing on discipline, temperament and development, and sibling rivalry.

Prenatal care, preparing for birth and questions and answers about breast feeding. Expectant moms are encouraged to bring support person.

Offers reduced cost lab draws, screens for sexually transmitted disease and tuberculosis. 

Public Health Preparedness develops plans and ideas to help protect the community against threats such as pandemic influenza, biological or chemical agent, and natural disasters.

Public Health Preparedness staff actively work with other community agencies to work towards good communication and the sharing of resources.

Loans up to $150 to help pay utility bills. May use service if needed once every 6 months.

One-room, dorm-style apartments are available for men to rent. There are 35 units on the second floor, accessible by elevator and stairs. The building is accessible by 24-hour card key access for renters.

Monthly rent includes electric, water, Wi-Fi, and cable. No lease is required.

Rooms are furnished with a bed, dresser, desk, two chairs, refrigerator, microwave, closet, bedding, and towels.

Apartments have a shared lounge area with a large screen TV, bathroom and showers, and laundry.

Provides autism screenings and help find diagnostic services. Teams help Iowa families navigate local supports and services for children and youth with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and provide family-to-family support. 

A 12-week education course for individuals who are unemployed, underemployed, or hard-to-employ designed to promote personal growth and professional success. Program participants receive mentors, weekly job leads and referrals, transportation, food, housing, and more. A job fair is held at the end of each course.

Limited financial assistance provided to prevent rent eviction or utility disconnection. May also assist with rent or utility deposit, where appropriate. Utility assistance can also include cell phone bill help. 

First apply for assistance at the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services (through ACCESSNebraska at www.accessnebraska.ne.gov) for an eligibility determination and referrals to community agencies with Letter of Eligibility, then schedule an appointment with the Community Service Coordinator.
