Offers an emergency homeless shelter that operates from Aug1- May 31 each year. The shelter provides meals, beds, showers, and laundry facilities. It is a structured program which includes rules, case management, classes, and require participation in an individual service plan. 

1st Five aims to increase developmental screening in primary care practices and has a referral system to support children identified as at-risk for developmental delays. 1st Five works with pediatric and family care providers to help link families to the resources and support services their child needs.

Offers a free and confidential crisis line for veterans. Can also help with local suicide prevention coordinators, who can connect veterans to ongoing counseling and services in their area. 

Provides property assessment, property value information, Homestead, Veteran and Family Farm Credit sign up.

Grief support for loved ones after the death of a baby, including a grief hotline, online support groups, counseling and library services. Information on stillbirth, SIDS, healthy pregnancies, etc.

Offer various resources and supports to families who have young children with disabilities and developmental delays.

- Early Intervention: Speech/language therapy, developmental therapy, and family support. Also offers medical equipment, such as bath aids, walkers, and therapy balls.

• T.I.K.E.S. Program: Bi-monthly home visits, parent-child activities, case management, loan of toys and parent resources, and Individual Family Service Plan (I.F.S.P.).

Offers a food pantry to those in need who live within the communities of Slater and Sheldahl. Food voucher given to be redeemed at Town and Country Market in Slater only.

Provides temporary financial assistance for pregnant women and families with one or more dependent children.

TANF provides financial assistance to help pay for food, shelter, utilities, and expenses other than medical.

Transitional services are also available to help families become independent, such as GED preparation, vocational training, job retention programs, etc.

Provides rent assistance in an emergency situation, limited funding. Will pay last $200 if proof of payment, limited to once every 12 months. 

Provides information and assistance to Illinois seniors age 60 and older, caregivers, and adults living with a disability; extensive nutrition programs.

Support group for parents and siblings that is facilitated by bereaved parents.

Newsletter and a lending library of topics and printed resources.

Presentations on grief for community organizations.

Offers mental health services and treatment options. Services include couple, family and group counseling. Inpatient and outpatient services are offered, as well as seeing clients in residential care facilities and at home. 

Provides emergency and transitional living program for men, women, and families with children.

Offers a tech center with computers, internet access, and printer capabilities. The Tech Center helps connect local seniors to the outside world and get them plugged into current technology. The VNA will be offering tech classes to help seniors become more knowledgeable when working with computers.
