Lunch and food pantry offered weekdays.
Cornerstone Services - Kankakee - Schuyler Avenue
Provides various behavioral health services to individuals with disabilities. Behavioral health services include:
- Psychiatric evaluation.
- Medication management.
- 24/7 crisis intervention.
- Coordinated Case Management.
- Outpatient individual and group therapy services.
- Substance use treatment for co-occurring disorders.
Community Action Partnership of Central Illinois
Provides transportation to any person 60 years or older with pick-up site in Logan or Mason County. Transportation Services can be obtained for regular trips to medical appointments or treatment. Trips must be scheduled 24 hours in advance.
Please note: Persons under the age of 60 can utilize transportation but must pay the full fare (suggested donation). Persons over the age of 60 take priority.

VNA Health Center At DuPage County Health Department
Offers home health care and hospice services. Care may include:
- Regular visits to patient's home to provide care.
- Coordinate services needed from other healthcare providers, including doctors, therapists, social workers and nurse aides.
- Keeps family and primary care physician informed about progress and care plan.
VNA will also answer questions about hospice care or end-of-life questions, even if a patient is not ready for hospice care at this time. Topics include:
- Advance directives.
- End-of-life issues.
- Making plans to provide care for a loved one with a terminal illness.
- Grief and loss issues.
- Understanding palliative care vs. curative treatment.
Scott Community College
Community colleges include Scott, Clinton, and Muscatine Community Colleges. Offers certificate, diploma, and degree programs and provide continuing education opportunities in many areas.
Non-traditional Careers for Women and Minorities program encourages women to follow higher-paying, non-traditional careers. Short-term, pre-vocational training is available.

Ken-Rock Community Center
Provides a program for children and adolescents after school hours. Center staff helps students with their homework, including comprehensive reading lessons. The After-School Program will provide a nutritious meal and help children build character through arts and crafts and physical fitness programs.
CommUnity Crisis Services
The Financial Support Program assists Johnson County residents with paying for birth certificate applications and Iowa IDs for those who have the documentation required by each state.
Salvation Army of Sterling
Provides a food pantry to those in need.
Society of St. Vincent de Paul Omaha District Office
Distributes clothing and personal care items and toiletries, free of charge, to anyone who requests them, each weekday. Examples of items distributed may include – although are not limited to – jeans/pants, shirts, sweatshirts, underwear, socks, shoes, boots, coats, gloves, sleeping bags, blankets, duffle bags/backpacks, razors, nail clippers, shampoo, lotion and deodorant.

Tabitha Home Health Care and Hospice - Omaha
Hospice is appropriate for any individual diagnosed with a progressive, life-limiting illness or condition with a prognosis of six months or less, if the illness or condition were to take its normal course. The program seeks to help clients live final months comfortably at home, rather than seeking ongoing curative treatments.
Hospice care includes 24/7 availability for consultation and urgent visits, distribution of medications and durable medical equipment related to terminal diagnosis, personal care needs and companionship provided by hospice aides and volunteers, personalized Veteran services, emotional and spiritual support from team of social workers and pastoral staff and bereavement services for all loved ones for 18 months following hospice care.
Iowa Department of Health and Human Services - Jackson County
Offers, as resources allow, to help refugees and asylees reach economic self-sufficiency and to them with any problems, interests and concerns they may have. The Bureau of Refugee Services works to serve as a central clearinghouse in order to refer refugees and asylees to any resource necessary and available to them. The Bureau is the service agency for all refugees enrolled in FIP, the state welfare reform program. Now offering a Commercial Drivers License (CDL) program. This program will help participants prepare for the class, enroll into the DMACC CDL program at no cost, and obtain a job after completion. Participants will also qualify for “Jump Start” training specially designed to help English Language Learners.

Offers library services to the residents of Johnston. Books, audiobooks, magazines, movies, and digital resources are available with a library card. The library also provides computers, WiFi, printing, meeting rooms, study spaces, tech assistance, notary service, programs, and home delivery for qualifying residents.

Primary programs and activities include providing swim lessons for individuals with special needs through the local YMCA and scholarships for children to attend various camps, classes and summer programs. Holds special activities and gatherings for members and their extended families. Donates to other groups or causes which provide benefit and support to people with Down syndrome including UCP and the Springfield Parks Foundation for the purchase of accessible playground equipment at Springfield’s Washington Park.
King of Kings
Helps families sign up for Toys for Tots during the holiday season. Sign-ups dates will be posted on the Facebook page as they open for the 2025 holiday season.
