Provides financial assistance to households with a termination notice or past-due balance on their water utilities. Eligible applicants can receive up to $200 per year through this program (two times, up to $100 each ask. If you are not a Norwalk resident and have a termination notice on your water,  call to see if any other assistance is available.

Provides services that are critical to consumers who rely on personal assistants (PA's) to do the chores that they are unable to do for themselves, in order to maintain their community living status.

Activities include learning how to have conversations, manage feelings, budget money, and make purchases. The program offers support to help people learn how to get around and take part in community activities with less help while building confidence and relationships.

Provides financial training, coaching and information for underserved individuals or businesses in the community. Financial classes and other workshops are held through the Financial Empowerment Center.

The property offers a total of 60 units, providing 46 section 42 (LIHTC) units for eligible residents, while the remaining units have no income restrictions.

Offers visitation program for low-income families providing free services in partnership with their FaDSS Family Development Specialist who works with the whole family to address their basic needs, improve child well being, and develop career opportunities.

Offers transportation both within Franklin County and outside the county for doctor's appointments, critical shopping, and other needs.

Following natural disasters, supports local neighbors with immediate and long-term case management, including providing financial assistance, food, clothing, furniture, household items and resource coordination. Certified Disaster Case Managers help families and businesses in Douglas, Sarpy and Washington Counties navigate the entire recovery process, often taking over a year.

A space where people experiencing homeless or loneliness may gather to be together in a safe environment. Coffee and cool drinks are available, as well as games, puzzles, and a children's room. Community case management is available, as well as appointments with the community health navigator. A classroom may be reserved for meetings or classes.

Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP)/Healthy and Well Kids in Iowa (Hawki) CHIP covers children under the age of 19 in working families who have too much income to qualify for Medicaid but cannot afford private health insurance, and are not enrolled in other health insurance.

In Iowa, CHIP is offered through Hawki. Some households may be required to pay a monthly premium based on family income. No family pays more than $40 a month. Some families pay nothing at all. Eligibility ends on the first day of the month following the month of the youth’s 19th birthday.

Provides temporary care for the pets of families or individuals experiencing a crisis due to domestic violence, hospitalization, medical treatment, military leave, natural disaster, or housing issues. Services include fosters, short-term care, veterinary care, exams, and food. Services may also include vaccinations, microchips, and other pet-care resources to enhance well-being and stability once everyone is reunited.

Provides comprehensive, individualized services to low-income infants and toddlers up to age 3, as well as pregnant mothers and their families living in Henry, Mercer, and Rock Island Counties, Illinois.
