Seasonal assistance with outdoor household activities for eligible Batavia residents who are unable to afford assistance with these tasks.

Services currently available:

- Leaf Raking - In early Nov, volunteers are available to rake leaves to the curb for city pick up (must call to register).

- Snow Removal - From Dec-March, volunteers will shovel driveways and walkways for registered residents (must register in advance).

Pilot program to provide free bus, MOBY, and ORBT rides during Metro’s regular service hours for any K-12 student in Omaha and the surrounding area.

High school students must show school-issued IDs when boarding. Students without school-issued ID, may receive a free Metro K-12 card by bringing proof of high school enrollment to the Metro office Mon-Fri 8:30 am-4 pm.

Elementary and middle school students can inform the bus operators that they are students.

Provides serves only for the homeless and/or recently incarcerated individuals.

Assists with job applications only, applying for social security and paying for a State ID and/or birth certificate.

Free Tattoo Removal Program.

Provides a short-term safety net for those between jobs or during illness. Financial aid program for those who are not qualified for categorical assistance (state or federally funded aid).

Provides outpatient mental health services. Services include treatment for depression, anxiety, trauma, PTSD, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, self-harm and suicidality, family/relationship problems, OCD, and confusion/memory loss.

Offers public housing for low-income, elderly and disabled.

Services and activities for senior citizens to support their independence and community involvement. Includes activities coordination, entertainment, fellowship, recreation, and education. Specific services include morning coffee, congregate meals Mon-Fri at 12 pm, home delivered meals, information and referral, blood pressure clinics, foot clinics the 3rd Tue from 1 pm-3 pm.

Offers a new treatment for mental illness which involves the assessment of clinical imbalances through the patient's medical history, physical examination, and laboratory tests. Functional medicine also looks into the genetic makeup of a patient and environmental factors such as diet, physical activities, traumatic experience, and exposure to toxic substances. 

Offers budgeting, bill payor, representative payee, or advisory assistance through the Illinois Department on Aging's Illinois Volunteer Money Management Program, available to participants in the Community Care Program (CCP) or clients through the Adult Protective Service Program (APS).

Provides environmental education for all ages and the trails are open for free public use during daylight hours.

Offers the following free services to eligible students: professional tutoring, supplemental instruction (peer tutoring), advising, lunch workshops (topics include study skills, time management, and financial literacy), scholarship assistance, cultural events such as museum and theater visits, and a student parent support group.

Provides information to food pantries or may offer food vouchers when funds permit. If in need of shelter, will refer to the police department for a one night voucher if funds permit.

Offers vouchers when funds are available to assist those who are in need of gas for doctor visit out of town.

Can also assist with utilities when funds are available.

- For residents of Wymore, calls for home delivered meals must be made to the Beatrice Senior Center, at (402) 223-3055 or the main office at (402) 223-1376.

- For residents of Palmyra, calls for home delivered meals must be made to the Syracuse Senior Center, at (402) 269-2957.

- For residents of Nebraska City, home delivered meals must be arranged through the city's Meals on Wheels program.
