Provides comprehensive, coordinated care and services to patients at home within a 50-mile radius of Ames. In-Home Health Care is typically under a physician's order. Registered nurses are available to provide skilled nursing care and serve as the primary supervisor of other in-home services.
Additionally, trained homemakers may assist with routine household activities such as menu planning, budgeting, shopping, child care, meal preparation, laundry, and general household management, including light housekeeping, to support families affected by illness, disability, or other challenges.

HACAP - Corporate Office
Assists low-income homeowners and renters pay for a portion of their primary heating costs for the winter heating season. Assistance is based on household income, size, type of fuel and type of housing. The application period is from October 1-April 30 for elderly and disabled households and November 1-April 30th for the rest of the households. Persons applying must meet 200% poverty guidelines. LIHEAP also offers a crisis program that may be able to assist homeowners who are with no heat or limited heat. The furnace component for crisis runs October 1-April 30th. May be able to help with repairs on a furnace but cannot replace the furnace. Keep checking back on the furnace program as it is dependent on funding that changes frequently.
