Offers new donated building supplies and household goods at a discounted price. Accepts donations of household items, all items need to be in new, good, and gently used. Provides a donation pickup service for larger items from Tuesdays to Fridays only.

Offers emergency financial assistance with basic needs such as rent, utilities, and food to Norwalk area residents.

Offers gently used and new items at reduced prices. Items include clothing, housewares, linens, furniture, and more. Additionally, shopping is available from home on Goodwill's online auction site.

Unemployment Insurance benefits assist individuals who are unemployed through no fault of their own. Benefits are paid from the Nebraska State Unemployment Insurance Trust Fund. The fund is supported solely by a special tax on employers. Unemployment claims are filed online at NEworks.nebraska.gov.

Offers mental health evaluations. Services include anxiety disorders screening, clinical psychiatric evaluation, depression screening, early intervention for mental illness, gambling addiction screening, and general mental health screening.

Provides a variety of job training programs and services, including individual, business services, youth services and dislocated worker programs/rapid response.   

Provides free and confidential sexual assault/abuse and crime victim services to anyone that has been sexually assaulted/abused. Off-site/out-of-office services provided include trauma-informed services, counseling/therapy, legal advocacy, medical advocacy, social services and basic needs advocacy/case management, safety planning, 24/7 crisis helplines, and 24/7 crisis intervention at hospitals/law enforcement. Service plans based upon services client wants to receive.

Also provides community trainings in Professional settings and offers Information about Services.

Telehealth is provided for those that need, or would like it.

Provides Behavioral Health and Treatment Services including evaluation and treatment assessment, outpatient counseling, and group therapy. Also provides Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT).

Adult, family, and couples counseling. Individual child and adolescent therapy, including pediatric behavior therapy. Psychological and educational evaluations. Services are available for community members, as well as UNL students, staff, and faculty.

Academic and school consultation.

Career counseling.

Short-term housing (six to nine months) for homeless individuals, couples, and one to two parent families who meet income guidelines (residents pay 30% of their income).

There are a total of 10 studio apartments, 15 two-bedroom apartments (4 persons) and 8 three-bedroom apartments (6 persons), for a total of 118 maximum residents.

Residents receive furnished living accommodations, case management, employment assistance, substance abuse support, and mental health referrals.

Nebraska has four veterans homes, located in Bellevue, Kearney, Norfolk, and Scottsbluff.

The homes provide a variety of nursing and assisted living services tailored to meet members’ needs. These services range from domiciliary to skilled nursing to memory care. Physical, occupational, speech, and restorative nursing therapy services are available at each of the facilities to help improve members’ quality of life; allow them to participate in meaningful activities; and maintain optimal physical, mental, and psychosocial functioning.

Members are admitted without regard to their financial situation. Cost is based on each individual’s income and assets. Those who are able to are required to pay a portion of their care costs, but there is no fixed cost.

Provides information, advocacy, and referral services for deaf, deafblind, and hard of hearing Nebraskans, as well as families, businesses, and community partners.

Offers guidance on available programs, services, and technology, and supports individuals and organizations in navigating communication access and accessibility across Nebraska.

Services include:

- Information and referral to statewide and local resources.

- Sign language interpreter referral service.

- Advocacy and education on deaf culture, communication access, and disability rights.

- Guidance on accessibility solutions, including interpreters, assistive technology, and communication tools.

- Support in understanding rights and responsibilities under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).

- Connection to programs such as the Nebraska Specialized Telecommunications Equipment Program (NSTEP) and the Hearing Aid Bank (HAB).

Offers law enforcement services to the Greene County area. Issues gun/firearm permits, runs requested background checks, and manages the county Jail.

Offers books, DVDs, and CDs for loan and public computer access.
