Illinois Department of Agriculture - Illinois Product Farmers Market
Offers a program for qualifying LINK recipients to double LINK purchases at participating farmers markets.
For each dollar spent with a LINK card at a participating farmers market, individuals will receive a $1 coupon, up to $25. (EXAMPLE: $25 spent equals $25 worth of coupons earned.)
Link Up Illinois Double Value Coupons can only be spent on fruit and vegetables; not redeemable for cash or change.

Supportive home for those recovering from drug and alcohol addiction; residents must abide by the rules of the home, including never using drugs or alcohol while a resident. Homes may house men, women, women with children, or men with children.

Trained volunteers are matched with an Afghan family to teach them English in their home. Provides academic support for youth, including enrolling in Kindergarten and assistance with college applications.

Workforce Center of Will County
Assist job seekers with access to employment, education, training, and support services to succeed in the labor market. Provides scholarships to help covering tuition, fees, books, uniforms/tools necessary to train for growth in occupations. Also provides a youth program providing occupational training and financial assistance for young adults.

If an individual has trouble hearing on the phone, he or she may be eligible for a free amplified phone. Individuals can receive an application packet, test, and select a phone they would like to order.

RSVP volunteers serve in a diverse range of nonprofit organizations, public agencies, and faith-based groups. Volunteers perform a variety of valuable services such as mentor at-risk youth, organize neighborhood watch programs, teach English to immigrants, and lend their business skills to community groups to provide critical social services.
Other volunteer opportunities are available at Senior Services Associates, including Elgin & South Elgin Neighbor to Neighbor Program, Long-Term Care Volunteer Ombudsman Program, Senior Companion Program, Senior Home Repair Assistance Program, Senior Medicare Patrol Projects, and the Transportation Program.

The LINK card is accepted at many farmers' markets.
Expedited/Emergency SNAP Benefits may be available (in 5 days or less from the date of application) to eligible clients if:
- Monthly income, cash, and bank accounts are less than client's rent or mortgage plus utility costs, OR
- Monthly income is less than $150 and client's cash and bank accounts are not more than $100, OR
- At least one person in the household is a migrant farm worker and client's cash and bank accounts are not more than $100.
