Designed to help individuals optimize their personal and social competency to live successfully in the community. Activities include volunteerism, leisure and recreation, health and wellness, personal empowerment, access to the arts, making friends, pursuing hobbies, passions, and more.

Offers 300 Project-Based, Section 8 housing units. This includes on-site management, 24-hour security, on-site child care, academic based after-school program, summer camps for youth, and on-site workforce development services for adults. Visually impaired, hearing impaired and wheelchair accessible apartments available.

Offers informational resource for families, child care providers, employers, and communities. Improves family's access to quality and affordable early learning programs to ensure children have the early experiences they need to reach their optimal development.

Offers free and confidential pregnancy testing, birthing classes. Also helps with material items diapers, formula, clothing, maternity clothing and more on a limited basis, provides limited ultrasound, STD testing and treatment, and parenting Classes (court mandated and voluntary).

A box of shelf-stable food items are provided on a monthly basis to Story County residents 60 years of age and older who meet eligibility guidelines. The types of food received includes Shelf stable milk, non-fat dry milk, rice or pasta, ready-to-eat cereal, farina, or oatmeal, peanut butter or dry beans, canned meat or fish, bottled juices, canned fruits, canned vegetables, and cheese.

A program that gives unemployed or low income women the opportunity to gain essential life skills. Some of these skills include but are not limited to:

- Basic computer skills.

- Cover letter and resume writing.

- Interviewing techniques.

- Proper interviewing attire.

- Job searching and placement activities.

Provides a bus pass, up to 90-days, to individuals who lack transportation to get to their employment and maintain employment. Must already have employment with at least 1 paystub to qualify.

Services offered:

- Sick and well-child visits

- School, camp, and sports physicals

- Obesity and asthma counseling

- Immunizations

- TB tests

Offers information and referrals to older adults.

Offers free short-term counseling and pro bono telehealth counseling.

From September 1, 2025, to June 30, 2026, Nebraskans can access short-term counseling at no cost, provided by skilled psychology interns.

Also offers long-term counseling.

Supplemental food program, formula, and manual breast pumps. Nutrition and health screening and information. Referrals to other agencies, doctors, immunization, clinics, food stamps, Medicaid. Breastfeeding peer counseling.

Provides assistance to out-of-school youth who are from low-income communities, have dropped out of school, and are unemployed, with providing them with, academic education, vocational skills training, personal counseling, positive peer support, leadership development, job placement and follow-up support.

Participants spend half their time in academic programming and half in learning skills in construction or urban agriculture, including building or rehabilitating housing for low-income families

Leadership development involves classes, activities, and leadership positions within the organization, providing a foundation for preparing youth to play important roles in their communities.

Provides backpacks filled with school supplies to area children to ensure a successful start to the school year.

Provides up to $150 to families for utilities, diapers, groceries, gas for vehicles, and other needs.
