Community Garden members each have their own plots. Members join together to help take care of common areas. Located on Highland Avenue, right across the street from Marie’s West pantry and main office.

Supportive home for those recovering from drug and alcohol addiction; residents must abide by the rules of the home, including never using drugs or alcohol while a resident. Homes may house men, women, women with children, or men with children.

Provides assistance in purchasing personal care items, such as laundry detergent, toilet paper, shampoo, body wash, deodorant, dish soap, cleaning supplies, and adult hygiene products. In addition, an additional voucher may be issued to allow households to purchase diapers, wipes, and creams, up to $100 per child, for children under the age of 5 or a child with a diagnosed disability.

Provides an Urgent Care Clinic in the hospital. Offers to evaluate, treat and provide immediate healthcare services. The Family Medicine providers are available for follow-up care as needed and for preventive wellness appointments.

For those who live in Douglas or Sarpy County and need help paying utility bills, please call Salvation Army's Utility help line at (402) 898-5966. HeatShare is a Salvation Army-Black Hills Energy partnership that provides emergency utility assistance for individuals and families in greater Nebraska.

Provides rapid rehousing services for up to 12 individuals, for up to 12 months, in conjunction with case management services to help reach financial stability and self-sufficiency.

Senior centers provide a place for congregate meals, as well as social activities, games, educational programs, etc.

Provides crisis intervention and case management services to abused children. Services include support to the child and the non-offending family members, linkage to counseling and medical services for the child, court support services, and screenings. 

Receives donations of unused ostomy products from all over the country.

Provides toys to those in need during the Christmas holidays. Program available for infants through age 12. 

Visit the Angel Tree website for the application to sign up beginning in October. Dates change annually.

Provides law enforcement and jail services to the county.

Corrections Staff can only confirm if a person is incarcerated and the amount of their bond. Charges, Court Dates and Medical Information will not be released.

Works to help Veterans on their recovery journey through outpatient and inpatient services. The residential facility helps Veterans deal with substance abuse, homelessness, mental health, and unemployment through its 24-hour therapeutic and educational programs.

Provides hunter safety classes, camping, fishing and boating information. Outdoor recreational opportunities are available through county parks and outdoor wildlife areas. Also maintains county parks and recreation areas. In addition, the organization supports access to public lands and resources that promote safe, responsible outdoor recreation for residents and visitors.
