Designed to reach out to seniors to assist them in many ways:

- Insures that each senior is aware of services available to them.

- Helps seniors apply for needed services.

- Monitors service delivery to ensure that service begins promptly and continues satisfactorily.

Offers informational resource for families, child care providers, employers, and communities. Improves family's access to quality and affordable early learning programs to ensure children have the early experiences they need to reach their optimal development.

Offers free and confidential pregnancy testing, birthing classes. Also helps with material items diapers, formula, clothing, maternity clothing and more on a limited basis, provides limited ultrasound, STD testing and treatment, and parenting Classes (court mandated and voluntary).

Offers community information and referrals which are provided to businesses. 

Provides financial assistance (up to $125) to households with a termination notice on their water utilities. The assistance can be provided once per calendar year for eligible households. Households will still be responsible for a portion of the payment to Water Works. If you are not a Des Moines Water Works customer and have a termination notice. Call to see if any other assistance is available.

General dentistry for all ages, including children. Services include:

- Exams.

- X-rays.

- Cleanings.

- Scaling and root planning.

- Sealants.

- Fluoride treatments.

- Amalgam and composite fillings.

- Extractions and removal of impacted teeth.

- Crown and bridge.

- Partial and full dentures.

- Root canals.

- Tooth whitening.

- Caps and crowns.

A protective service for limited-income seniors who need help managing their finances. Bill payer volunteers assist individuals who are able to make decisions about their financial affairs but who need help organizing bills and paying them on time.

Representative payee volunteers are appointed by Social Security to receive and manage benefits of a person who is determined incapable of managing his or her own finances. In contrast to the bill payer program, the representative payee signs the checks and has full control of the benefits. They pay bills and make sure the client's needs are being met.

Supports children and caregivers through early development of social and emotional skills. Program leaders collaborate with teachers, care providers, and families to support children in becoming successful in their early care environments and classrooms, reducing the risk of expulsion.

Provides support in both the classroom and within the home to ensure all children have the opportunity to learn within a traditional childcare setting.

Offers a place that allows access to washers, dryers, and shower facilities on a first come, first serve basis. Referrals and connection to community resources are also available. This is a safe place to escape the heat, or cold elements. Coffee, water, and snacks (as available).
