Recruits, trains, and engages a pool of competent volunteers to both educate members of the public regarding disaster preparedness and to respond and serve vulnerable members of the community during times of crisis.
Survivor Empowerment Center - One Stop
Provides shelter to individuals or families who are seeking safety from domestic abuse. Individuals who are homeless for reasons unrelated to domestic violence may be offered shelter, must call for availability.

Provides health care and specialty health care services, including mental health care. Can also provide family and internal medicine services.
RAMP Disability Resources and Services - Winnebago County
RAMP advocates for individuals who want to learn to use RMTD's fixed route public bus system. Employees can assist with navigating the cost of the fare, planning a route, and education of bus behavior. Advocates also train RMTD's bus drivers on proper use of lifts and disability awareness.
New Opportunities - Carroll County
Holiday baskets are offered seasonally, provided through local community support. Programs vary by location; call for information.
Pregnancy Resource Center - Champaign
Provides the following services
- Free on-site pregnancy testing.
- On-site limited obstetrical ultrasound services.
- STI/ STD testing.
- Parenting education (HOPE program).
- Support to pregnant woman whose unborn baby has been diagnosed with an adverse or terminal condition and wish to carry to term (Willow Story program).

Head Start and Early Head Start are comprehensive child development programs that serve children from birth to age five, pregnant women and their families. The programs are child-focused and have the overall goal of increasing the school readiness of young children in low-income families.
Both programs provide a range of individualized services in the areas of education, medical, dental and mental health, nutrition and social service to children and their families. Parent involvement is encouraged and support is offered for children with disabilities.

Provides services to pregnant moms and children, including early childhood education for children under five years old, and their families through full-day, part-time, home-based and center-based services at various locations.
Crosswalk Community Action Agency
Helps low income residents and households conserve fuel and reduce energy costs by making homes and apartments more energy efficient. Also provides many health and safety upgrades. Services include air sealing, attic and wall insulation, HVAC repair or replacement, electric base load reduction (lighting and refrigerator replacement), ventilation and moisture control measures (and other health/safety measures).
Maximum $15,000 for energy-related weatherization and repair work (per client's home)
Maximum $3,500 for health and safety-related measures.

Offers to promote health and quality of life by preventing or controlling those diseases or deaths that result from interactions between people and the places they live, work and play. The programs employ several strategies to prevent health hazards including education, surveillance, routine inspections, sampling, posting, and enforcement where necessary.

Offers to help develop individualized medication assisted treatment plans for those addicted to opioids. Treatment using Methadone, Suboxone and Vivitrol. Facility is designed to provide outpatient counseling, drug screens, and guest dosing.
