Nebraska AEYC provides opportunities that promote excellence in early childhood for Nebraska’s early childhood educators, children and families through education, advocacy and leadership.

Programs offered include:

- T.E.A.C.H. Early Childhood Nebraska – T.E.A.C.H. (Teacher Education and Compensation Helps) is designed to provide educational scholarships for those working with young children in early childhood education settings. The scholarship addresses three key issues facing those in the early care and education field: the educational level of the staff, high turnover rates, and low wages.

- Quality Enhancement Projects work with a select group of participants who are interested in improving the quality of their early childhood programs. A mentor, in partnership with the childcare provider, utilizes the results of a classroom observation as a foundation for program improvement. The childcare provider and the mentor create a plan, based on the results of the observation, to acquire materials and/or training to improve the quality of their program.

- Rooted in Relationships/Pyramid Implementation Project works with childcare programs in Lancaster County to implement the Pyramid Model which supports the social-emotional development of young children.

- Circle of Security Parenting programs are designed to help parents learn how to respond to their child's needs in a way that enhances their connection with them and gives children a feeling of security and confidence so they can explore, learn, grow and build positive relationships.

Temporary emergency shelter for victims of domestic violence and accompanying children. Emergency needs such as food and clothing can be provided while in shelter, if needed.24 hour crisis line provides support, info and confidential emergency services available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Client advocacy is available to help support individuals through crisis, such as assistance in applying for Department of Health and Human Services economic assistance programs, finding a new place to live, or for emotional support and talking through options.

Legal advocacy provides assistance with filing domestic violence and harassment protection orders, legal referrals, help in finding legal representation, and court accompaniment.

Medical advocacy offers referrals and accompaniment as needed.

Bilingual advocacy provides immigration information for victims of domestic violence or sexual assault. To reach a Spanish-speaking advocate, contact the Spanish line or stop in at the Crete office to speak with a Spanish-speaking advocate.

Information and referrals provided regarding assistance outside of Hope Crisis Center.

Community education programs offered free of charge on topics such as: domestic violence, sexual assault, bullying, good touch/bad touch/secret touch, teen dating violence, date rape, violence in the media, sexting, domestic violence and the effects on children, sexual assault and the effect on children, and others.

Provides many animal services to the county. Animal Control involves the humane capture of loose animals and enforcement of state and county laws pertaining to animals.

Provides a safe haven for those animals who no longer have homes such as those that are strays, runaways, and those seized due to inhumane treatment or cruelty investigations.

Provides the necessary veterinary treatments and social interactions to get them on their way to getting a new owner.

In-home care services, including companionship, meal preparation, housekeeping, medication reminders, shopping/errand running assistance, personal care, companionship, dementia and Alzheimer's support, and hospice care services.

Offers comprehensive care for older adults, including routine health services, physical examinations, and screenings focused on the prevention and early detection of health problems. Specialized services include memory screenings, substance use support, and case management for individuals not requiring specialty care.

Additionally provides palliative care for patients with incurable or progressive illnesses, focusing on symptom control, relief of suffering, and the management of physical, psychological, social, spiritual, and existential needs to improve quality of life and restore functional capacity.

Provides sexually transmitted disease testing, treatment, and education, including HIV testing to identify individuals infected with the Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) and assess disease progression.

Services may include pre-testing and post-test counseling, offering information about HIV/AIDS, risk reduction strategies, emotional support, and referrals to related services.
