Offers comprehensive and continuing health care for people of all ages with a focus on disease prevention and wellness.

Provides confidential counseling to anyone, regardless of faith or background. Counselors help individuals, couples, and families maintain emotional health and strengthen relationships. Telehealth is available. 

Provides apartments for older adults and individuals with disabilities.

Assists veterans and their dependents in applying for and navigating the various federal, state and county programs offered to the veteran and his or her family.

Provides assistance in completing applications for the Nebraska Veterans Aid Fund, fee exempt fishing and hunting permits, applications to the Nebraska Veterans Homes, and waivers of tuition.

Provides and/or completes Veteran Administration forms for claims relating but not limited to service connected compensation, disability pension, widow's pension, burial allowance, grave markers/headstones, educational benefits, home loans, insurance, indebtedness, and character of service upgrades.

Emergency operations center for the County, which handles emergency response incidents, including accidents, fires, floods, storms and other disasters. Also responsible for requesting federal assistance after a disaster.

Offers home health care and hospice services. Care may include:

• Regular visits to patient's home to provide care.

  - Coordinate services needed from other healthcare providers, including doctors, therapists, social workers and nurse aides.

• Keeps family and primary care physician informed about progress and care plan.

  VNA will also answer questions about hospice care or end-of-life questions, even if a patient is not ready for hospice care at this time. Topics include:

• Advance directives.

• End-of-life issues.

• Making plans to provide care for a loved one with a terminal illness.

• Grief and loss issues.

• Understanding palliative care vs. curative treatment.

Provides free adult day services for individuals with Medicaid. Offering free pick up and drop-off service, health and wellness support with a licensed nurse, activities,  small mental health workshops, and meals. 

Provides property assessment, property value information, Homestead, Veteran and Family Farm Credit sign up.

Free 8-session class taught by trained NAMI members. The Family to Family curriculum focuses on:

- Schizophrenia.

- Bipolar disorder (manic depression).

- Clinical depression.

- Panic disorder.

- Obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD).

The course discusses the clinical treatment of these illnesses and teaches the knowledge and skills that family members need to cope more effectively. Classes are offered twice a year.

NAMI Champaign County also provides monthly educational presentations and can provide an in-service for teachers and staff to help identify the symptoms of mental illness in children.

Provide outpatient therapy, outpatient psychiatry, psychiatric evaluations, and group therapy to children and adults for individual, group, marital, and play therapy. Services include substance abuse counseling, support groups, and medication-based treatment for substance use disorders, which combines approved medications with counseling and behavioral therapies to help individuals reduce or eliminate dependency on opioids or alcohol.

Family STEPS is a Healthy Families America affiliate. This program provides in-home parenting education and supports for families prenatal and children birth to five years. Home visits provide guidance and support in parenting and many aspects including discipline. The frequency of visits are based on each family’s needs, strengths, and circumstances with visits typically lasting 60 minutes. There is no cost to participate in this program.

Offers, as resources allow, to help refugees and asylees reach economic self-sufficiency and to them with any problems, interests and concerns they may have. The Bureau of Refugee Services works to serve as a central clearinghouse in order to refer refugees and asylees to any resource necessary and available to them. The Bureau is the service agency for all refugees enrolled in FIP, the state welfare reform program. Now offering a Commercial Drivers License (CDL) program. This program will help participants prepare for the class, enroll into the DMACC CDL program at no cost, and obtain a job after completion. Participants will also qualify for “Jump Start” training specially designed to help English Language Learners.

Provides a full service early childhood education center.

Provides assistance for stray cats and dogs, barking dogs, biting incidents, and the capture of domestic or wild animals posing a health or safety threat.
