CASA of Scotts Bluff County
Recruits, screens, trains, and supports volunteers (Court Appointed Special Advocates) who are appointed by a juvenile court judge to advocate for a child, who is under the jurisdiction of the court due to abuse or neglect.
CASAs maintain contact with the children during the entire court jurisdiction period. Work with attorneys, therapists, parents, foster parents, and all adults involved with the child; and get to know the child's needs and makes reports to the court, so a more informed decision can be made.

Offers safe housing opportunities for women in domestic violence, human trafficking, addiction situations, codependency healing, and addiction rehab. Open ended shelter program for women in crisis. Offers classes, bible studies, job search assistance, and help in locating an apartment and furnishing it. Also provides Christ-centered individual counseling (online and in person), and a faith-based addiction class.

Lends wheelchairs, walkers, knee-scooters, back benches, canes, and commodes. Also gives out personal supplies, such as diapers, pull-ups, pads, rubber gloves, bed pads, and wipes.

Provides services coordination/case management to those disabled and/or older adults who meet nursing facility level of care for the Medicaid Waiver Program. This program is based upon the belief that people with care needs should have options for receiving services. Potential participants will meet with a staff person to determine needs and develop a care plan. Eligible persons are offered the choice of receiving home and community-based services or nursing facility care.
The Waiver allows Medicaid money to be used to purchase the following services that are not usually considered 'medical': Personal Care, Companion Care, Chore Services, Adult Day Services, Independence Skills Management, Personal Emergency Response System, Respite Care, Assisted Living Services, Assistive Technology and Home Modifications.
