Provides Christmas 2025 assistance for referred individuals 62 or older and the disabled who may be in need or alone at Christmas. Applications may be picked up November 1-21, 2025. Must be turned in on or before November 21, 2025.

Offers voluntary programs to eligible landowners and agricultural producers to provide financial and technical assistance to help manage natural resources in a sustainable manner. Through these programs the agency approves contracts to provide financial assistance to help plan and implement conservation practices that address natural resource concerns or opportunities to help save energy, improve soil, water, plant, air, animal and related resources on agricultural lands and non-industrial private forest land, with emphasis on market stability and commodity pricing.

Professional medical care designed to support individuals recovering from illness or surgery, managing chronic conditions, or needing additional medical support. Home Health typically includes skilled nursing, therapy (physical, occupational, or speech), or assistance with person care tasks such as bathing or dressing.

Specialized care services may include IV therapy, nutritional support, or wound care.

The primary goals of Home Health are to promote and maintain independence, improve health outcomes, and enhance the quality of life by providing care in the comfort and familiarity of client's own homes.

Offers both short and long-term experiences for youth. Short-term experiences include afterschool programs, camps, school-sponsored activities, conferences, and other events. Long-term experiences include learning communities in agriculture such as county clubs.

Offers MEDICAID (Medical Assistance) to people who are low income and aged (65 and older), disabled (including blindness), women needing treatment for cancer or pre-cancerous conditions of breast or cervix (who have been screened and diagnosed through the Breast and Cervical Cancer Early Detection program and who do not have credible health insurance coverage), children under 21 years of age, pregnant women, parents or other caretaker relatives of children under age 18 (or under age 19 if they are attending secondary school and are expected to graduate before age 19). Medicaid will pay the costs of Health care, Dental care, In-home health care, Nursing facility care or Residential facility care.

A medium security women's facility emphasizing academic and vocational education, prison industries, psychological counseling, cognitive skill training, substance abuse programs, violence prevention, pre-release program, reentry programs, anger management and parenting programs IOWA MEDICAL & CLASSIFICATION CENTER, CORALVILLE (319-626-2391): IMCC serves as the reception and classification center for all males 18 years of age and older entering the adult institutional corrections system. After extensive testing and assessment of risk, health and cognitive skills, they are then processed on to other facilities. A medium security general population unit is in operation at IMCC, as well as, a special needs unit with both medical and mental health beds. IMCC also runs the only licensed forensic psychiatric hospital in the state, providing inpatient psychiatric and evaluation service to non-adjudicated patients IOWA STATE PENITENTIARY, FT. Offers open swim sessions, lap swim, water walking and facility rental for gatherings and outings.

Emergency operations center for the County, which handles emergency response incidents, including accidents, fires, floods, storms and other disasters. Also responsible for requesting federal assistance after a disaster.

Provides fresh produce and rescued food to the public through Mobile Produce pantries in Buffalo County, Minden and Holdrege.

Offers individual, couple, and family psychotherapy, as well as psychoactive medications management and monitoring, and Integrated Home Health (IHH). Community Support Services (CSS) provides workers in the individual’s home and community to help overcome barriers to mental health and healing. Monitoring of mental health symptoms, crisis planning, and support to build natural support systems that help clients get through their day.

Funding for water/sewer assistance is limited.

When funding is available, it can provide assistance in the form of benefit payments made directly to water vendors on behalf of households for past-due charges, fees, and taxes for drinking and wastewater services.
