Agency staff are not affiliated with any Senior Living Community; will only discuss services available. Staff will not make recommendations on any specific community, but may assist with scheduling tours and advises clients of the tools needed and questions to ask when touring a community. If requested, AgeLinc's Director of Development may accompany clients on tours.

Staff provide one-on-one counseling and information about Medicare and supplemental insurance options depending on individual circumstances. Will work with individuals to help them understand the entire scope of the process, from which services are covered to what financial responsibilities may be on the client. Staff can also act as advocates when disputes arise in billing and/or services.
In addition, because Medicare alone does not cover all healthcare costs, staff can inform individuals about what insurances are available to coordinate with Medicare.

Reimburses for funeral and burial expenses when a person's resources and all other sources of payment are less than the DHS standard payment rates. The maximum amount that DHS will pay is $1,370 for a funeral and $686 for a cremation/burial.
