Tax preparation for low and moderate income taxpayers of all ages, with special attention to people 60 and older during tax season (Feb 1-April 15).

Grandparent aged volunteers serve as mentors, tutors and caregivers in schools and daycare classrooms for children and youth who need extra attention. Work one-on-one or in small groups under supervision of trained professional staff at school, Head Start and daycare centers. The program offers a tax-free stipend for those who meet income guidelines, transportation reimbursement, and monthly training sessions.

Provides personal help, team-based advocacy, clear training sessions, and useful resources for Iowa families of children and young adults with disabilities or special health care needs (birth to age 26), individuals with disabilities, and professionals who provide support.

Investigates allegations of abuse, neglect, and exploitation of older adults and individuals with disabilities who live in a domestic setting. Interventions and referrals offered to any victims including but are not limited to in-home services, legal, medical, relocation, and counseling.

Offers residential treatment programs for adults with substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders. Those programs serve men and women, women with children, young adults, veterans, and essential and frontline workers. Also offers medically monitored detox and withdrawal management.

Sober living recovery homes and halfway houses provide wraparound support for individuals in early recovery. Also offers supportive housing for individuals living with mental health disorders.

Adult outpatient services include therapy, specialty care such as TMS therapy and MAT, family support and education, psychiatric care, intensive community-based case management, and fulfillment of legal behavioral healthcare requirements related to court systems.

Provides childcare services to all infants and children ages 6 weeks to 12 years. Services also include a 3-year-old preschool. 

Senior Care Options program available to older Nebraskans who are considering admission to a nursing home and may be eligible for Medicaid assistance. Clients are screened according to a standardized assessment process developed by the Department of Health and Human Services.

Care Managers arrange for services, which allow older adults to live as independently as possible, for as long as possible.

Housekeeping and supportive services to include grocery shopping, cleaning, laundry, transportation and personal care.

Family Caregiver Support for those caring for an aging adult or grandparents caring for a minor child. Provides information, assistance, support group, respite care, and supplemental services.

Home delivered meals are provided to homebound by reason of illness, disability or isolation. The meals meet 1/3 of the daily dietary recommended needs of adults 60 years and over and the requirements of the Older Americans Act and state and local laws.

Public benefit services, legal assistance, education, Medicare filing, and volunteer training through SHIIP.

Advises and aids veterans and their dependents in applying for federal benefits through compensation or pension claims. Emergency financial assistance for basic necessities such as rent and utility payments, and burial expense may be available. Can also assists with applications for benefits made available by federal, state or local laws.

Provides outpatient services include treatment and specialized therapies to manage substance abuse, assessment and treatment planning, individual and group therapy, case coordination, DUI evaluation, information and referral, and intervention services.

Assists older persons or their caregivers in identifying their needs and place them in contact with appropriate community resources or service providers.

Follow up activities are included such as making sure the older person was able to receive the service or help the older person obtain the service.

Provides one-on-one home or office visits for advocacy regarding issues such as physical, family or other related losses that occur as part of the aging process. Counselors provide assistance obtaining access to local, state and federal programs, such as Medicaid, Food Stamps, BEAM and LIHEAP.
