State Supplement adds to the benefits of the federal Supplemental Security Income (SSI) Program to bring the income of aged and disabled individuals up to the need of standards of Nebraska. Additionally, some persons are not eligible for SSI payments, but qualify for a State Supplement payment because of different standards and regulations.
State Disability provides aid to needy persons who have a disability expected to last for at least six months, but less than the 12 months required to be eligible for the federal Supplemental Security Income Program.

Advocates for and monitors the delivery of high quality and appropriate healthcare benefits and services. Assists in identifying and securing veterans benefits and other benefits for spinal cord injured and diseased veterans and others as appropriate. Promotes medical research to cure spinal cord dysfunction and other related problems. Educates society on the attitudinal, physical and legal barriers which confront persons with disabilities and influences the removal of those barriers. Provides information to and opportunities for health promotion, recreation, employment, sports, services and camaraderie for spinal cord injured and diseased veterans and others as appropriate. Provides for cooperation with and seek the support of other groups and individuals who share PVA's objectives. CAMP JOY HOLLOW, located on 360 acres in the Loess Hills north of Sioux City, is ideal for year-round indoor and outdoor troop activities.
CAMP JULIETTE, set on 27 wooded acres within Marshalltown city limits, offers a natural environment with spring wildflowers and frequent sightings of deer. Additionally, approximately 15 day camps are held throughout the Council during the summer.
Camperships are available to provide scholarships or tuition assistance for children and youth who may otherwise be unable to attend camp, ensuring accessibility for all participants.
