Embrace Iowa is a project through the Des Moines Register that is administered by Community Action Agencies in the state and is only accessible during a certain time period. Requests that are considered for this project may include beds, clothing, car repairs, medical expenses (including pharmacy, dental and corrective lenses), furniture, rent, utilities, home repairs, household items, appliances, and miscellaneous other things (computer, etc.) If there is not a service available to assist someone, this could be a possibility for them to apply for these funds during this time period. The maximum dollar amount awarded per household is $750.

Crusader Community Health - West State
Provides mental health and psychiatric services to children, adolescents and adults. Services include assessment, diagnosis, therapy, psychoeducation, and crisis intervention.
Psychiatric services are provided by a psychiatrist or psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner via telehealth, and in full collaboration with Crusader medical and behavioral health staff.
Survivor Empowerment Center - One Stop
Provides counseling services to individuals who have experienced sexual and/or domestic violence. Counseling is also available to families, friends of the client. Counseling is available immediately after an assault or at any later date. Counseling sessions can provide a place for survivors to express their feelings, thoughts, and fears.

Through these programs the agency approves contracts to provide financial assistance to help plan and implement conservation practices that address natural resource concerns or opportunities to help save energy, improve soil, water, plant, air, animal and related resources on agricultural lands and non-industrial private forest land, with emphasis on market stability and commodity pricing.

Provides mental health treatment and residential services for adults with chronic mental illness. Residential services are available for 30 adults in two professionally staffed residential facilities located in Des Moines. The agency provides skills training, to assist the individual to live in the least restricted living environment.
MercyOne Siouxland Medical Center
Registered nurses, aides, physical, occupational, and speech therapists, and social workers. Medication management, disease management, wound care, patient and family education related to current conditions and chronic illnesses, assistance with personal care, and more. Hearts at Home (cardiac care, including congestive heart failure), diabetes management, infusion nursing, and fall prevention. In-home telemonitoring is available to monitor patient's blood pressure, pulse, and weight and oxygen, as ordered by the physician.
