Provides GED classes for adults needing assistance in preparing for the exam. Classes are held mornings and evenings.

Provides equitable access and opportunities for economic success for underserved clients. Programs include job readiness, assisting with job placement and developing skills to aid in job retention, ELL, citizenship, computer skills, resume writing, networking, cultural transition support groups and peer discussions, effective parenting, education and coaching to enhance and promote financial literacy and long-term self-sufficiency, and other skills necessary to compete in the modern workplace. The programs address the barriers impacting low income and refugee families and their ability to move along the self-sufficiency continuum. Barriers from employment discrimination, language barriers, poverty, family conflict, transportation, financial illiteracy, and much more. Programs and class offerings are designed to be flexible to fit individual needs, and include a “high touch” service model which is both culturally competent and language specific.

The Closet Door program is focused on the needs of the homeless community in downtown Omaha.  Anyone is able to ask for clothing, basic hygiene products, and other essential items.

Offers law enforcement services. 

Meets the needs of hungry children and families by providing them with free, easy-to-prepare food to take home on weekends and over school vacations when other resources such as free or reduced-cost school lunches are not available.

Provides support to teens an young adults through high school graduation through post secondary training or education. 

Provides a 24-week domestic abusers education program. -- For men in Waterloo, the intake/orientations are held the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays of the month at 4 pm and the 3rd Friday of the month at 9 am. If the intake session falls on a holiday, it is held at the same time in the following week. Located at Waterloo Residential Correctional Facility.

Provides a clothing closet that has clothing and some household items.

Offers the support group, Grandparents Raising Grandchildren to help support any older adults who are caring for children.

Offers pregnancy testing services to determine pregnancy through laboratory procedures or home-use devices, prenatal education, and new baby home visits. 

Provides child passenger safety seat inspections, offering guidance on selecting appropriate car seats based on a child's height and weight, correct installation, and proper use. Also provides child passenger safety seats, including booster seats for older children. 

Additionally, supports the health and development of infants and toddlers through well-baby care services, which may include health screenings and immunizations.

Thanksgiving community meal, served Nov 26, 2025, 11:30 am-1 pm. No registration is required; this is a sit-down, in-person meal.

Christmas assistance/toys and ham (in partnership with Toys for Tots). Registration open Oct 20-Nov 21, 2025. Sign up online at sacedarrapids.org, click on Holiday Assistance. Call for (319) 364-9131 for assistance if unable to do this. Households with children ages newborn up to 14 (on 12/25) can sign up for toys and a ham. Households without children eligible for toys can sign up for a ham.

Provides a 12-step program for individuals with an addiction to issues surrounding money, including overspending, credit card abuse, check kiting, and other forms of money addiction. Services include in person, or virtual meetings visit website for more information. 

Provides help with account inquiries (help with letters, notices and levies on your wages or bank account, adjustments (changes to tax account information or payments), assistance with Affordable Care Act tax provision questions for individuals, basic tax law assistance January 1 - April 15 (answers related to your individual Federal Tax Return), etc.

No in person services are available at this site. 

Provides call captioning solutions for your home phone. After sign up , a complimentary CaptionCall phone is provided as part of the service. It works like a regular phone, but has a large touchscreen that displays scrolling text of your conversation for clear caption phone calls.

Sorenson CaptionCall is a provider of IP CTS which is a federal program supporting the requirement of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) to allow individuals with hearing loss to use the phone in a manner that is functionally equivalent to a person without hearing loss. There is no cost for the CaptionCall phone or the captioning service. 

Provides housing for low-income families, seniors, and individuals with disabilities.

Offers scholarships, amounts are dependent of funding levels, to income eligible individuals in Edwards, Gallatin, Hamilton, Saline, Wabash, Wayne or White County, who are planning to attend accredited Illinois University, community college, technical or vocational schools. Preference is given to applicants of racial or ethnic minorities.
