Provides community to women and men dealing with infertility, connecting them with others who can help, empowering them to find resolution, and advocating for access to all family building options.
Peer led support groups are hosted by a volunteer and are composed of a varying number of people. Groups are often "drop in" in nature and last about two hours. Groups currently meeting in Bellevue, Nebraska and in Coralville, Waterloo, and Burlington, Iowa.
Support groups are led by a mental health professional. Individuals can process feeling relating to infertility or their family building efforts. Often composed of 8 to 10 individuals or 4 to 5 couples and scheduled weekly for 10-12 weeks. Support group leaders often have an intake appointment with each participant prior to the start of the group.
