Service calls usually last between 30 minutes and 2 hours, depending on the number and type of jobs being worked on.
Homeowners are responsible for the cost of materials, while the labor is provided on a donation basis.

Northwestern Illinois Community Action Agency
Provides home rehabilitation assistance for single family homeowner occupied residents when grant funding is available through IDHA. Mobile homes are not eligible for this program. Each application is seen on a case by case basis. Measures will be done based on needs identified in the home inspection/assessment. The focus is on code, health, safety, and lead paint issues first. Grants are for a 2 year period.

Offers affordable home repair services for low-income homeowners, allowing them to get work done now and pay for it later – sometimes years down the line. Homeowners are invited to apply for the program and are accepted based on their household income and assessed home value. Services may include exterior repairs (such as roofs and siding), critical home repair (such as furnaces and water heaters), weatherization (such as windows and insulation), and accessibility (such as ramps, grab bars, and bath modifications).
City of Champaign
Provides home improvement grants and/or low interest loans to repair deteriorated dwellings. Programs include:
- Minor Home Repair Program: provides grants and forgivable deferred payment loans to correct housing deficiencies of an immediate nature which threaten the health or safety of the occupant of the home or the structural integrity of the building.
- Home Accessibility Retrofit Program: provides grants or loans to eliminate barriers, modify the layout, or add structural accessories/improvements to the dwelling to make it more accessible for occupants with disabilities. May also be used to make "visibility" modification to dwelling units to allow immediate family members with disabilities to visit the subject property.
- Accessory Structure Demolition Program: provides grants or forgivable deferred loans for homeowners to demolish unsafe structures on their property.
- Residential Exterior Rehabilitation Program: provides a 50/50 matching grant or 0% interest loan to repair and bring up to code the living structure.

Assists income eligible seniors and disabled Sioux City homeowners who are in need of home repairs.
The program typically provides repairs to, but not limited to, the following:
- Electrical.
- Plumbing.

Care for the poor organization for the area of 20th Street to 28th Street and Martha to Leavenworth.
Helps the needy with painting, cleaning, raking leaves, minor home repairs, hauling away junk, and community development.
Jackson County Health Department
Samples residential private water wells for coliform and nitrates upon request of the property owner and refers clients to private labs for more complex well testing. Conducts on-site evaluations of private sewage systems for homeowners. Also licenses private sewage system installers and permits the installation and modification of private sewage systems.
Faith In Action of Bloomington-Normal
Provides senior care services. Services include transportation for medical or dental appointments, grocery shopping (twice per month), light home repair or maintenance, friendly visits and phone calls (twice per month). Volunteers may be matched with a care receiver for companionship and support.

Provides accessibility ramps, grab bars, railings and steps, limited flatwork, and limited bathroom modifications.
Unable to help with major renovations, foundations, and HVAC systems.

Offers home repairs and improvements necessary for restoring and maintaining safe living conditions and home values. This program is applicable for low-income families, seniors, and those with a disability. Services include interior or exterior work performed to alleviate critical health, life and safety issues or code violations. This includes a change to or repair of materials or components, a reconfiguration of space, a modification for accessibility and interior modifications, installation or extension of plumbing, and mechanical or electrical systems on an existing structure.

By utilizing Central Navigation, the goal is to coordinate existing resources and match participants with a resource to either solve an immediate need or develop a longer-term coaching relationship.
