The Dislocated Worker program assists displaced homemakers and those who have lost their jobs due to plant closure or reduction in workforce with retraining in an occupational area of greater stability.

This site is considered an affiliate one-stop for the American Job Center in local workforce area 26.

Provides people with the tools they need to find a job within the community. Represents people with a wide-range of abilities, education, and experience and assists them in community integrated work settings. Can help with:

- Situational assessment to determine capabilities.

- Vocational interest testing.

- Assistance with resume creation.

- Assistance with completion of job applications.

- Assistance with interview preparation.

- Participation in weekly job training sessions in group setting.

- Follow-up with the employee and employer.

- Job coaching services if necessary.

Employment services including job matching and referral, job search and job placement assistance, career guidance and assessment, employer services, labor market information, apprenticeships, veteran services, resume design, interview skills development, and a variety of other programs and services.

Many services also apply to out-of-school individuals ages 14-24 with employment barriers, including:

Offers employment services, including assistance with registering on the state's online job matching system. Clients can access job listings, resume and cover letter writing guides, interview tips, labor market information, and access to the internet. Services may be provided directly or through referrals to partner agencies. Financial assistance is available for eligible individuals for up to two years of job training or vocational education in high-growth fields approved by the Workforce Investment Board of Region 15. Eligibility is determined through a vocational assessment. Some individuals may be referred to other financial aid sources, while others may receive funding from this program. After training, participants receive staff-assisted job search support, followed by up to one year of follow-up services after job placement. Training services are available to eligible youth (with a high school diploma or GED), adults, and dislocated workers.

The office administers unemployment compensation for those who have lost their jobs and manages workers' compensation programs. These programs provide income replacement, medical expense coverage, and vocational rehabilitation for employees who have suffered work-related injuries or occupational diseases.

Provides comprehensive supported employment services which provides 1st day employment, job coaching and personalized support. Program length is 90-180 days and includes life skills and job skills assessment and training, a personalized schedule of support groups and classes, personalized goals surrounding housing, recovery, health, and education, and an assigned job coach.
