Iowa Migrant Movement for Justice
Offers low-income immigrants and refugees a safe place to seek free legal assistance for immigration and naturalization issues. The attorneys and DOJ accredited representatives provide counsel for immigrants and refugees who are eligible for legal status in the United States. Counsel and advice for new clients is available at monthly legal clinics in 7 locations in Iowa: Ames, Cedar Rapids, Des Moines, Ottumwa, Decorah, Marshalltown and Storm Lake. The attorneys or DOJ accredited representatives may represent clients beyond the intake clinics if they are eligible for immigration benefits and there is a capacity to assist them.

Provides immigration legal assistance to the indigent and to low-income immigrants. Assists some US citizens who need immigration counseling and help with the preparation of a variety of petitions including applications for citizenship. Some services available are, consultation about immigration legal matters, referrals to immigration attorneys and other organizations in cases out of the scope of these services, assists in the preparation of family petitions, legal residency (Green cards) and immigration visas, and assists in the preparation of applications for temporary benefits like DACA, Temporary Protected Status (TPS), Parole in- Place and the employment authorizations associated with those benefits.

East Central Illinois Refugee Mutual Assistance Center
Educates and supports refugee, asylee, and immigrant families and helps them transition to a new culture. Services include:
- Refugee/immigrant mutual support groups.
- Linkage with mainstream providers regarding the mental health needs of clientele and the barriers encountered by them. Mediations and education related to cultural differences are provided.
- One-on-one counseling at the Center, a neutral site, or in the homes of families in crisis.
- Basic immigration applications and immigration legal referrals.
- Cultural orientation counseling for refugee and other ORR eligible clients.
- Culturally appropriate workshops dealing with money, public benefits and health issues.
- Translation of documents and interpretation in community settings.
