Individuals and families can rent community garden plots on a sliding-scale fee basis. Community gardeners get access to land, tools, water, seeds, and other resources to help them grow their own food.

Also provides free educational workshops on growing food and food business topics.

Helps bring SNAP and Double Up Food Bucks to the Hub Farmers Market at 21st & Q during the growing season.

Gifts and visits to children in crisis, with special needs, and with life-threatening illnesses. Funds other organizations with a similar mission of aiding children. Toy drives, letters to 'Santa' handling, prepare gifts, donate funds, visit children in hospitals and homes year round. Annual dinner, raffle, silent and oral auction, and other events to raise funds for children. Santa's children/ K.I.D.S program distributes clothing, toys and other products to children referred through their local fire department in Iowa and Nebraska. Day camp program for medically fragile kids. Garden camp program all done by volunteers with produce going to those in need through food pantries.

Produce grown in gardens may be used by the owner for their own food needs and/or distributed to community members who are facing economic and food access challenges through a Solidarity Gardens CU distribution network. Participants will receive a Solidarity Garden yard sign, donated by Cunningham Township, to acknowledge their effort.
