Offers support services for older adults, services include friendly calling, home visits, shopping assistance, SHIP (Senior Health Insurance Program), exercise classes, ramp construction, and garden share.

Offers a wide range of programs for individuals of all ages. Services include sports, aquatics, community gardening, fitness and wellness, nature programs, teen programs, summer camps, dance, fitness arts, culture, and environmental programs. There are 20 parks, 8 facilities, and numerous special events for all members of the community. 

Helps individuals and households access locally grown, affordable, and high-quality food through a community garden and farm development program. Working largely with refugee, immigrant, and new American populations, the program provides critical food access to vulnerable portions of the community while educating and empowering others to practice and move towards sustainable food practices.

Community Garden members each have their own plots. Members join together to help take care of common areas. Located on Highland Avenue, right across the street from Marie’s West pantry and main office.

Individuals and families can rent community garden plots on a sliding-scale fee basis. Community gardeners get access to land, tools, water, seeds, and other resources to help them grow their own food.

The farm program is for individuals wanting to grow food to sell as a business. The program offers land access and technical assistance to beginning farmers.

Also provides free educational workshops on growing food and food business topics.

Helps bring SNAP and Double Up Food Bucks to the Hub Farmers Market at 21st & Q during the growing season.

Offers a community garden to the community during the months of June-August. 

Community Garden members each have their own plots. Members join together to help take care of common areas. Located on Highland Avenue, right across the street from Marie’s West pantry and main office.

Provides a 4 x 8 garden plot for adoption. Adoption means planting vegetables, weeding, watering, and harvesting. Mt Pleasant Community Garden is located at 211 S Jackson Street – across from Sarah’s Bridal. Must clear out garden plot after the season is over.

Offers a community garden that provides fresh produce to patrons of the food pantry. Clients receive a punch card to access the garden once a week during the months of July, August and September for a share of fresh produce harvested and distributed by volunteers.

Offers free seeds, seedlings, tools, soil, containers, miscellaneous supplies, gardening expertise, and educational resources to any interested party in the Champaign-Urbana area who would like to start their own garden.

Produce grown in gardens may be used by the owner for their own food needs and/or distributed to community members who are facing economic and food access challenges through a Solidarity Gardens CU distribution network. Participants will receive a Solidarity Garden yard sign, donated by Cunningham Township, to acknowledge their effort.
