Provides a women's transitional living program for women in crisis or in need of rehabilitation services. Minimum stay of 4 months with a maximum stay of two years; 3 meals and snacks provided; no alcohol or illegal drugs allowed, and random drug testing performed. Substance abuse, mental health and medical assessments are required upon arrival. Intensive Case Management provided: residents are required to find employment and maintain appointments for counseling, aftercare, and support groups. Rent does begin to accrue upon move in, at a rate of $420 per month. No deposit required. *The Beacon is not an emergency housing program. Pre-screen required. Support groups are open to the public, but are for women only: 1. Alcoholics Anonymous, Mondays at 7pm. 2. Alcoholics Anonymous, Wednesday at 7pm. 3. Empowerment, First Wednesday at 7 pm. 4. Narcotics Anonymous, Thursday at 7 pm.
